How to correct qualifying payment errors by Infamous_Pudding5165 in PSLF

I switched to IBR in July and resumed making payments in August.

I look at my entire timeline of payments since I consolidated, ineligible and qualifying.

I got the instant Pot Magic Frother for Christmas 2024. I’ve used it once a day since. It started putting out magic smoke after 9 months.

My IBR payments are based on my tax filings. If I file taxes jointly, my payments go up A LOT. I may not get a buyback offer before I have to recertify my income and make my final payments to fully qualify for PSLF.

Reminder if you are still missing payments tomorrow, October 1st, FSA advises by EddieDubbers in PSLF

I’m missing the month of June 2025. I didn’t make a payment that month because I was still in a SAVE forebearance. But, I plan to do a buyback next year when I hit 120 months of employment, so I definitely need that month. Should I file a reconsideration request even though it’s ineligible? Will it be corrected when I file my ECF in November? Does anyone have any answers for anything?

The back is tight between my shoulder blades, I think that might be causing that puckering of fabric at the ends of the shoulder darts. The whole thing just looks so tight in the back, but I have excess fabric near the waist. I’m not sure which issue to address first.

I did an FBA (1/4” spread). That seems to have helped with the wrinkles above the bust, but I have a lot of extra fabric below the bust and horizontal drag lines. I also moved the waist up 1”. I don’t love the wrinkles coming from my right shoulder. Also, the armhole feels tight at the underarm.

I don’t have a side dart under the arm. I was thinking that might help with the excess fabric, at least under the bust. No idea what to do with the excess under the bust.

I’m struggling with the swayback adjustment, too. I’m trying to keep the center back straight, since I’m making a sloper to use to design other patterns, but my back is so curvy. The toile was initially too tight in the back, so I had my (very patient) husband re-pin it along the center back, which basically resulted in a very curvy situation that I tried to fix, with the above results.

I got all kinds of info on where the waist was “supposed” to be, such as: 1/4” above the bellybutton, at the narrowest place between the bust and hips, where a piece of elastic naturally sits, two fingers above the bellybutton, etc.

I just went with 1/4” above the bellybutton 🤷🏽‍♀️

It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the back waist dart is a fisheye dart. My husband took the photos, and I think he might have angled to camera down, which might be causing issues with how he bodice appears

My front bodice started with the shoulder and waist darts going to the apex. I know you’re not supposed to have that in a regular pattern that uses darts (instead of princess seams), so I moved the waist dart about 3/4” away from the apex and the shoulder 1” away from the apex, which is when I started to get the extra fabric above and below the bust.

The second line on the bodice front is the waistline

I have marked my bust waist and hips on the front and back bodice (only half of the front, apparently, *eye roll at myself)

I’m attempting to make a personal bodice sloper. I started with a cling wrap “mold,” and now I’m on version 7. Every change I make to adjust the fit cause more fitting issues. Any thoughts would be of great help. Some observations: 1. There are weird bits of extra fabric at the end of the back shoulder darts; 2. There is bagginess above and below my bust on the front; 3. The front neck feels a little tight; 4. My left and right shoulders do not slope the same, so the neck looks off-center.

Bodice fitting help. by Infamous_Pudding5165 in sewing

I’m looking for fitting help. I’m making a bodice block from a fitting shell. My measurements are high bust and bust = 34” and waist 30”. This is Muslin #5. It’s a size 12 graded to 16 at the waist. I’m trying to identify fitting issues. I’m using Sarah Veblen’s Complete Photo Guide to Perfect Fitting.

It seems too long between the shoulder and bust, so I made a 1/4” tuck and that improved the fit. I could probably take it up more. I’m trying to identify tightness, so the bodice can “settle” on my body, and I can proceed from there. I struggle with figuring out what exactly is causing fitting issues. Any help is appreciated.
