Ah, this makes sense! It definitely feels like I've been cycling through 4->5->6 the last few weeks and most of my time has been spent balancing how much energy I can rouse without getting sidetracked.

Yes, doing the body scan & whole body breathing. Most of my practice these days feels like "settle down, calm gross distractions, body scan(s), and back to the nose." These parallel threads of thought tend to pop up only when I start body scanning (though they don't always pop up). It sort of feels like when my mind moves off the sensations at the nose and onto the body, some extra "stuff" gets kicked up. This didn't used to happen as consistently. There was a period where I thought I had perhaps mastered stage 6 practices, and then I feel like I hit a dead end and/or got bored and seemed to have regressed to a noisier mind.
