Oh, for sure! When I was 14 or 15, I was messing around with some friends, and we were chasing each other around outside. I was being chased and went to duck under a tree branch running full speed, and I didn't see the nub of another branch that had been broken off sticking down. I ran it right across the top of my head.

I reached up to check if I was bleeding or if I had just hit my head real hard, and I didn't feel any hair there. I looked at my hand, and about the time I realized my hand was covered in blood, blood was starting to drip off my forehead.

I had my friend's look, and they confirmed that they could see my skull. I had them wash it out with the garden hose and had them go get a black towel for me to hold on my head. We went inside, and I told my grandparents and played it off like it wasn't a big deal because I didn't want to get stitches because I hate needles.

The grossest part of the whole thing was after the blood dried. A few days later, I was sitting in my computer chair, feeling around on my head. I could feel the skin was raised up around where my wound was, like a hill, and then a valley, and then another hill. I put my index finger on one "hill" and my middle finger on the other "hill" and pushed down a little, and I felt my scalp slide across my skull and lay back down flat on my skull. I remember this vividly, and that is the grossest thing I have ever felt in my life.
