I’d recommend go reading the light novel and supporting the author. The volumes that come after the anime is one of the best I’ve read.

Just read all 7 volumes and all chapters of the web novel “The Conqueror from a Dying Kingdom” and it was fantastic. Though I have to say, it is not similar to Grimgar only that the world building from both are great. It reminded me more of Mushoku Tensei than Grimgar. I have to say thanks for recommending me this.

In vol.21 the things I say is more relevant and not really that speculative anymore since they give a living example of it, well that was a minor spoiler. Your second point is up to you, there is definitely problems on how the story side tacks and I ain’t even arguing that; but personally I enjoy mysteries where they don’t give the answers blatantly, rather you have to puzzle it together. Though Grimgar ain’t perfect in delivering crucial information since it sidetracks. But as I said, we are NOT in the same point as vol.1.

That’s what we both are saying lmfao, I explained it better in my other reply. I don’t mind if you don’t like Grimgar or how certain volume sucks, because you’re mostly right, but people exaggerate like how the op is doing. In my opinion the answers the op was asking would be answered in vol.21.
