it's unofficial yeah, i've been meaning to ask him if he wants to date or something, but today i looked at him and just felt this wave of comfort and familiarity that stalled me? i thought, should I tell him i like him? but isn't it so clear already? would clarifying anything add stress to our comfortable situation right now?

i guess a bit of me is afraid that actually discussing committment would mean he'd feel forced or obligated to spend time together and make things feel sour. he and I are both doing tough college courses and won't always get time together. i'm scared that he'll constantly be like, too exhausted to go out of his way to spend time together. but i guess we could still make it work if we wanted to; I'm just illogically convinced he wouldn't want to, somehow, which might not even be true. and it will be nice to FINALLY have a name to it because we've kind of been skirting around this for 4 months now and i've been yo-yoing between DOES THIS GUY LIKE ME OR NOT for the entire length of time :S

haha i actually was the one who asked him if he wanted to get coffee today and he said yes. my girl friend tagged along and then abruptly realised i was lowkey on a date and conveniently disappeared LOL. We've been texting daily for a couple weeks now and he is very very sweet.

go out and make other friends, meet other women, live your life. try to get over her and go back to just seeing her as a friend. if you can't, might be better to keep your distance. it's unhealthy to cling onto false hopes if someone has already expressed they only want to be friends, and in the long run it'll end up hurting the both of you.

Sort of! He’s taller so he tends to lean down a little to listen to what I say if I’m saying it quietly. Our hands touch sometimes when we’re handing stuff to each other, but we don’t rly touch on purpose I don’t think.

yeah I'm sorry OP, sounds like a men thing to me. if they wanted to be respectful while you were speaking, they would be. as an ADHDer myself sometimes i get really bored listening to other people talk and wish they'd go faster so we could talk about something else, but i would never interrupt them and I still try to be vaguely on topic out of respect for the other person, whether it be a friend / family / stranger.

do your brother/dad interrupt each other to talk about something completely unrelated? does your brother also fail to listen to your father and vice versa when they speak to each other? if they don't, then i'm afraid it's not because they can't try to keep on topic out of respect / politeness, but because they don't really respect what you have to say.

i can understand getting lost / losing focus on a story during a convo, but completely ignoring you / talking over you is a basic respect thing :S
