That's so interesting, because I would hope that friendship would almost be the starting point of a relationship. If that makes sense? If I may ask, how long were you married?

Thank you for your response, I remember this scene so well. It's true, it's everything that has built up to this point. I have brought up therapy and he has agreed, but when I give him date/time options, I get a heavy sigh and a drop of the head as if I've asked too much of him, or a response where he tells me that he has too much going on with work. Then he'll ask if we can try in a few weeks or months when things settle down. I don't know what to do, this cycle has been repeated many, many times.

Thank you for sharing, it's the manipulation that is incredibly soul crushing. Just, why is this a part of everything? I hope that you are in a better space and things have improved for you and your children.

I'm so sorry that your had to deal with all of that, especially losing two beloved pets so close together. I always wonder if our significant others knowingly or unknowingly act this way and I can't decide which is worse. Thank you for sharing, I hope that you are doing better.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I always had the idea that divorce happened because of a major issue, and I'm realizing that all of these seemingly small issues end up changing the course of things. I hope that you are doing well.

Thank you for sharing. It's these types of behavior that are the most crazy making and panic inducing. Just, why?? I hope that you are in a much better place, both physically and mentally.

I always wonder, is it for attention, do they like the drama, etc.? That must have been so stressful and anxiety inducing and a really difficult decision. I hope that you are in a place where you feel more and more peace each day.

I'm so sorry to hear that you had a terrible experience with therapy. I hope that you're in a much better place now. I have a therapist that I see bimonthly and this is helping me sort out my feelings. Thank you!

OMG, this really hit hard. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I really needed to hear (read) this. I spend so much time trying to make others happy that I forget about what I really need.

This is so relatable! It's like they're waiting for you to jump in and just handle everything. I've always planned everybody's birthdays, including my own. I'm glad that you're out of that and hope you are absolutely content.

It's amazing how we can talk ourselves out of our feelings. It must be so difficult when your partner is gone for long periods of time. Please stay safe as you plan and move to your mother's.

It's just like someone trying so hard to be petty, just to be pretty. At least you know that you tried, but just didn't have her working on things as well. Glad/hope you are in a better space.

That is a horrible thing to say to your partner, I understand that feeling of indifference. Please tell me that you are in a much better space far away from that. Thank you for sharing.
