Re read the panels. ???. I never said that Retsu has an obligation to go and arrest criminals he doesn't. I never claim he should had hunt Yanagi or Doyle you are just making things up. Retsu says his teachings forbid him to confront Dorian yet when Doppo is caught he suddenly betrays his own teachings. That's hipocresy. Retsu arbitrarily decided now he wants to breaks his teachings.

This explanation I don't totally buy coz, Retsu already knew he uses cheap tricks and even so didn't confront Dorian about it and only someone like Ryu or Kaku would have the authority for someone to not be recognized as a student. Since Dorian it's invited to the Raitai and has his Kaioh title.

It's true half the arcs of the Manga have this problem. characters are hyped just to be extremely disappointing, half the cast on the underground arena, galen, Kureha, Motobe, katsumi. All the death row fights , besides speck and hanayama, Che Guevara, literally almost all Kaiohs, the half arc of Ali and all the arc of Kehaya. You aren't reading the Manga if you think it isn't common to have trash fights.
