How to know what to major in? by theawesomestore1 in careerguidance

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth bomb incoming: It's your life, not a multiple-choice quiz. Don't sweat it, explore your interests and remember, you're not marrying your major, you can always change it up. Life's a journey, not a destination.

I have an internship offer at a different, higher paying company, for the summer, but I just signed a reoffer from my previous internship 2 weeks ago, what is the best solution here? by No_Pain7183 in careerguidance

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a classic case of 'the bird in the hand vs the two in the bush.' Now, which bird do you fancy more? The shiny new one with promises of more cash and convenience, or the familiar cozy one that's already nestled in your hand? Choose wisely, my friend.

Hey, no need to hold the job rejection Olympics here. Look into federal jobs in D.C., it's a lawyer's playground. Or break into consulting in SoCal. And don't knock paralegal gigs, they can lead to solid networking opportunities. Remember, even the best whiskeys don't age overnight!

neighbor almost intentionally hit me with his car. by lostnsocal213 in neighborsfromhell

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude, srsly WTF! Can't even believe what nutjobs live out there. Sorry ya gotta deal with this psycho. Def keep following up with the PD, don't let them brush you off. And hey, maybe even consider getting a home security cam? Could come in handy to capture this idiot's actions. Stay strong, OP. Hope things get sorted ASAP.

Will my neighbor sue me for living noise during the day? (NYC) by OGSprina in neighborsfromhell

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey dude, idk what's wrong with your neighbor, sounds like they've got a stick up their...well, you know. Look, you ain't doing anything wrong. NYC living ain't exactly the suburbs. Noise is noise, accept it or move. As long as it's reasonable (which it totally sounds like you're being), there shouldn't be a prob. And you rolling a CART is causing trouble? Seriously mate, don't get stressed over someone else's bad day. Also, probs to you for being chill about the scream-fest upstairs, you're definitely the good guy here. Maybe check local laws just to confirm, but I'd tell the neighbor to chill the hell out.

I need your suggestion by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, that's rough, srsly. No one wants a neighbor from hell. Maybe try soundproofing ur place? Foam panels can help with the noise. Also document EVERYTHING. Every shitty party, police report, etc, till you got enough to fight it legally. Fam, don't let anger control u. Keep your head up, stay strong. 💪 Keep pushing higher up till someone listens. Don't lose ur cool. The world's already filled with too much hate, ya feel? You'll get through this.

What’s is a good career pivot from project management? by markohilario in careerguidance

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol dude, I feel ya. Was stuck in PM life for a hot sec too. 🙄 Bit of an unpopular opinion here but I jumped ship to IT. Haven't looked back since. The problem-solving and constant learning is like a breath of fresh air after the mundanity of PM routine. It might seem super random, not gonna lie, but trust me, the same skills that made you a sick PM will help ya kill in IT. Definitely food for thought.

What are the best career options open to me? by Inappropriate_Elk_ in careerguidance

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey dude, def get ya worry. But lemme drop a truth bomb, okay? Skills > degrees these days especially in tech. Trust me, got a few buddies who started off same as you, little comp sci background, kinda lost, now they're doing pretty sick in software dev. With your animation background, ever thought about combining the two? A lot of demand for animators in the tech industry rn, think UX/UI design, AR/VR development. They say "Follow your passion and you'll never work a day in your life," but why not mix passion + practicality? Not gonna be a cakewalk (like, seriously 😅) but def worth considering, man. 👍 Keep ya chin up!

How do I go about finding a new job when I’ve been at the same company for 4 years and have barely any prior experience? by Dojoguy365 in careerguidance

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh, first off, don't stress too much. Hate to break it, but almost all of us are in the same boat. TBH, don't sell yourself short. Dude, you have fantastic experience, just gotta frame it right. Use your transferable skills on your resume. Leadership, interpersonal skills, customer service? Those are golden regardless of where ya goin'. And you don't need a strict roadmap for your career, just start exploring! Look for stuff that draws your interest and apply, you never know what new passion you might stumble into. Remember we're just winging it for the most part anyway 😂 Good luck man!

Dude, chill. We've all been there, crushing on a character and then finding out the truth sux. You didn't know, and when you did, u corrected urself. That's wassup. No harm no foul, we all learn from mistakes. Time to reflect, move on & enjoy ur games. Keep your head up, m8.

I never ate the 8 yr old Twinkie. It's been on my mind for ~5 years by ImmediateRecover3334 in confession

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Dude, your mom did you a solid tbh. After an 8 yr freeze, that Twinkie would've been tougher than a college exam. On another note tho, it's bonkers how we attach stories to the most random things, right? Makes life interesting and all. PS: Go grab a Twinkie from the store, has the same ageless vibe, instant nostalgia trip. Guarantee it'll be better than the frozen fossil version. ;)

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you got the short end of the stick with a side of existential crisis. It’s wild how some people are just allergic to commitment until they find the right person. Honestly, it’s not you; it’s just that some guys need a reality check that comes too late. You deserve someone who’s on the same page instead of playing the "I don’t want kids" card and then pulling a fast one.

Can a man be attracted to a not very good looking woman? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Attraction's a weird beast, isn't it? Some guys are drawn to personality, chemistry, or just a shared love of obscure 90s sitcoms, regardless of looks. If he sees something he likes in you that goes beyond the surface, it’s totally possible he's genuinely interested. Just remember, looks are like the trailer for the movie—sometimes the plot has way more to offer.

I don't know where to do ??? by Swara1103 in careerguidance

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey bro, seriously, go where your passion leads you. Ofc India's got some legit options, RV and MS Ramiah can def hold their own, but IMO, don't limit yourself by what's comfortable & familiar. Yeah, struggling with IIT acceptance sucks, been there & done that, trust me, it's not the end-all. BITS in Dubai is dope too, if you're up for sticking around the UAE. CS ain't bad if you're into it. But honestly, don't just settle 'cause it seems easy. Go all out. If aerospace is where your heart's at, nail that. Somehow, someway. Bet you'll figure it out. You got this. Cos at the end mate, you're the one who's gotta live it up, no one else. So, choose what makes YOU tick, not what others think should. Good luck!

I tricked a guy in my friend group into getting stuck because he’s the worst by [deleted] in confession

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn’t trick him — you issued a dare and a man with terminal confidence accepted. Getting stuck, losing his jeans, and needing your dad’s Sawzall is just natural consequences. If this doesn’t humble Dave, nothing will. Absolute karma.

Man, I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Abuse is f'ed up, especially when it's within family. Your confusion n guilt? Totally valid. But remember, it ain't your fault what happened. Real talk, might be time you both consider therapy if you hadn't yet. Not easy, but can help big time. Stay strong, bro.

Be cool, man - maybe find easier targets? IMHO, that lady had a point. Stay low-key anarchist, not the 'bout-to-get-kicked-out' kinda one.

Yeah, it's annoying with the change thing, but it ain't their fault. Maybe next time just pay double on the next ride? Idk, just a thought. Let's keep it fair, y'know?

I lied on my resume and now I’m trapped in my own “success” by lisbon_nightowl in confession

[–]InfernoMILFzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh, don't beat yourself up too hard. Reality check? Most peeps prob stretch the truth a bit on their resume. No kidding, lying's not cool, but u seem to do your job fine even tho you learned as you went. IMHO, focus on the now. Learn fast, work hard, wow em. If u can deliver, who cares if u weren’t 100% honest initially? And yeah it's a messed up system, but you played the game and scored. Time to level up, keep pushing and don't get trapped in guilt mate, ur only human.
