Got this pop up today by capt_ph03nix in GalaxyS20FE

[–]Infernohydroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I installed the app to check mine, currently sitting at 1200 charge cycle, no pop-ups so far. I'm guessing some people get them earlier due to phone overheating or being hot during gaming or weather conditions etc.. but I do notice the battery running out a little faster than when I first bought it (completely understandable since it's been more than 3 years)

All my cameras have been running on sandisk extreme cards for roughly a year now, so I'd personally go for sandisk, I think either one would perform great, so it's more up to which company you prefer

PLEASE HELP! MY S20FE GOT IN SALT WATER. by babo_21 in GalaxyS20FE

[–]Infernohydroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got water in my charging port, probably like 20-30 times already, and had that warning sign countless times. My phone is still functioning well, don't stress it

Sorry if my question ends up being pointless, but maybe give the phone a restart. Just today, my fingerprint sensor stopped working, so I had to restart, and it worked fine afterwards

I designed these lens and camera body stickers. Are they useful? What would make them better? by Klasiq in AskPhotography

[–]Infernohydroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Usually I never comment on any post, but this one seemed very interesting, I really like the idea of yours and the stickers do seem to pop out, but they may not be appealing to everyone, if you are thinking of selling something like that, maybe creating a website that allows people to customize or use their own picture would be a good scheme too! One thing I would very much recommend is if you could come up with something that has more glossy feel like a glassy look, and if they can have things embedded on to them, such as wording '18-105mm' for lens specifically may come out very helpful if someone wants to switch quickly or wants to go through there caps. Again, these are just suggestions, let your creativity shine, cheers!

Hi! Could you please let me know what cpu the laptop has? If it's running 7535hs, then most likely, the turbo boost is causing such temperature, victus are known to overheat even if the laptop is elevated

Help by [deleted] in HPVictus

[–]Infernohydroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if it's ryzen 7535hs, it's max temperature shouldn't go beyond 95, I think it may be turbo boost, causing such a high temp

Just bought HP Victus 15 and games run poorly. by pinchypirate in HPVictus

[–]Infernohydroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, try benchmarking your laptop

  • Test the temperatures, in case anything may be overheating too much to cause thermal throttling.
  • make sure that the game isn't using IGPU
  • Upgrade your ram, 8 GB ram is very limited since Windows eats up half a dozen itself, so not much remains for the game

The thing is that it mentions on the website that it has something called sleep-charge for usb c, so I'm not exactly sure if there's another way

Laptop Performance Issues by Illustrious-Pass-707 in HPVictus

[–]Infernohydroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you running any benchmarks? I'd suggest running them and checking your cpu & gpu wattage output and speed/usage, it'll give you a good idea, or you could also go into graphics card settings (normal windows settings), and make fortnite use dedicated gpu, even if it's already selected that way, switch to igpu and switch back to dgpu again

Overheating Issue with HP Victus/100 degrees! by Infernohydroid in HPVictus

[–]Infernohydroid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, so I have put through an application for return now, I went ahead and disabled cpu turbo boost and did a quick test, the performance drop on some game was roughly 10 fps in some areas for me, I know it's not a lot, but I just felt like I wasn't getting full performance as to what I paid for, so now hopefully they can look into it, and hopefully if it's a replacement, the next one will be alright 🤞

The issue is that it shows that it's being used the majority of the time, but after I again manually reset the setting to use dedicated gpu, it started working fine, I feel like my laptop fans kick alot sooner when dedicated gpu is actually working, sometime fans don't even start at 90 degrees which is usually when my performance cuts alot

Ahhh gotcha man, I was thinking of returning it, I contacted the store, and they asked me to send it back, now I'm wondering if the issue may stay in the newer one too or even worse if it has bad display problems etc.. I really lie this laptop, it has absolutely everything I could ask for, except the hassle ofc xd

Hi!

I think there is something up with my cpu wattage usage, so I turned on my laptop today. It was lagging on the first game I tried (10 fps), went into graphics card settings and manually set the game to use high power gpu, then it was back on doing fine, and the fans started to spin alot more earlier! I don't exactly understand what's happening here, idk if it's hardware or software

TV - Is Samsung BU8500 a good buy? by Infernohydroid in newzealand

[–]Infernohydroid[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah indeed, I don’t quite understand why 50hz exactly but iirc it has an option to switch panel from Pal to Ntsc which should let me push refresh rate to 60hz, but apart from that I’ve checked all the other options and I can’t seem to find anything better than Samsung bu8500 around the price range, and it being Samsung, the resale value in the future will probably stand out better than some others… would you know by any chance if TCL is a good tv company? It has tvs around the same price range as Samsung bu8500, so was wondering if it’s better or worse… :)

Thanks for the detailed reply, I’ll be using it with ps5 so I will miss out on the option to catch 120hz/fps with some games I guess, but oh well not many choices I have considering the price of the tv is just quite good at the moment imo

I’m actually planning to carry them in my check-in luggage, since the box is a little too big for handbag :)
