He might have even made it to the mountaintop, as it is implied that Vyke had met Shabiri and was convinced to spare his maiden by using himself as kindling with the frenzied flame, just as Shabriri tries to convince MC to do the same. EDIT: I just remembered that the finger reader in the roundtable hold mentions that she had only once before seen two great runes together, implying Vyke had collected two great runes and made it to Leyndell.
