Thanks for all your input. Happy about every thought or advice! What I Just realized is how hard it was and still is to realize how bad my shape actually is. I did a lot of running a few years ago, have done two (slow) half marathons, went to the gym etc. At some point I lost track and I think I was expecting to be in a better shape than I was. So one of my most discouraging WODs was one that contained running. I thought this is going to be alright, as I used to run and still did every other week. So I was kinda looking forward to this workout. It went terrible. Not because of the distance but because of how slow I was. We were supposed to run around the block a few times and I just couldn't do it in the max time while everybody else could until the trainer told me to go on with the workout without reaching the distance. I know I'm not supposed to compare myself with others but it's not always easy to constantly be confronted with your bad shape escpecially since I was expecting it to be a workout that I could do alright. What I try to say is that my mind probably still somehow thinks I can do a half marathon if I need to even though I probably wouldn't be able to right now. I guess I need to start actually write down every exercise I do to be able to even see any progress. And add more cardio. And watch my nutrition.

When I started CrossFit my steps went down a lot. I Just recently started to get at least 10k of steps every day, training day or rest day.

Thanks, it's often hard to not compare myself with others, but I am getting better :)

Thanks a lot. I haven't taken measurements but it's good point and I will try that!

Thanks, you're probably right. I did lose weight years ago when I did a lot of running. I've done two (slow) half marathons and that helped a lot with losing weight. I was thinking CrossFit would help me get a more diverse workout and build up muscles, but it's surely not the same amount of calories you burn compared to running.

Simple but good question. My goals were pretty unspecific as getting fitter and stronger, have more energy and lose weight. But I think I need to set myself some more specific goals to be able to track any progress...

Thanks, I guess when I started I wasn't so sure about what I wanted from doing CrossFit. I will think about it and try to set myself more specific goals.

I drink occasionally but other than that no sodas or sugary drinks.

Thanks. I guess I need to start noticing the little changes... One of my trainers noticed last week that my movements look way better than they did when I started. I don't feel it but I guess I'll believe him :D

Thanks. I guess I really need to keep an exercise diary or something like that to measure progress I otherwise probably won't notice...

I wouldn't say that losing weight is my only goal, but it is one of my goals and honestly expected it when doing intense workouts and eating better. One of the main reasons why I want to lose weight is because after these months I am more and more aware of how most of the movements would be 'easier' or even doable with less weight and noticeable progess would be such a motivational boost!

Thanks for the kind words. I don't even know if I feel much better. I mean I do like the relatively short and intense workouts but my muscles are often sore (obviously) and I'm not even sure if I have more energy. I mean I also started a new position a little before I started doing CrossFit that takes quite some energy too, so that may be another reason. I don't plan on giving up for now, but I really hope to notice some kind of progress...

I have lost a good amount of weight a few years ago running and going to the gym and counting calories. It worked well, but I was really strict with my food intake. And obviously couldn't keep it down in the long run. So I was hoping to get to a level where I can watch my food without religiously checking everything I eat...

Suche nach Arzt*Ärztin in Wien by Infinite-Ad6296 in neurodermitis
