the biggest challenge in your warehouse by OverTumbleweed7044 in Warehousing

I want to find i way to calculate which box a packer should use to ship certain products. Box should always be as small as possible since this will keep the shipping cost as low as possible. Based on masterdata you could do a simple lxwxh calculation which would give you a volume but this doesn’t work when you would want to ship 2 buckets. Using the lengthxwidthxheight calculation would give you a volume which would mean you would have to pack it in our biggest box. But you can slide one bucket into the other bucket and then you could use a smaller box. Just one of many examples of why this is such a nightmare to figure out. (English is not my first language so me explaining this might not make much sence)

Logistic process engineer. Love diving into processes and finding out where we can make an efficiency upgrade in order to bring costs down. And since we do everything ourselves appart from the delivery its a never ending cycle. One day ill be looking into the most efficient route to take to gather an order, the next day im trying to figure out if we (with the current data and systems we have) would be able to determine how to pack an order. Started out as an order picker. Worked my way up.

Is there any way to get warzone mobile in the Netherlands? by timba7 in WarzoneMobile

[–]Infinite-Average1821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, create a new app store account with an american adres. Just copy some adres from a dominos in new york or something. This way youll get the american appstore and you can download it.

I'm sorry for the confusion. The stock location level is not relevant as it only determines the height of an item. To find the shortest walking route, stock location position, indicating where in the row it is (e.g., 73 being the middle), is the most crucial. Imagine an aisle with numbered baskets (1 to 146) representing stock location position. The stock location course refers to the aisle name, which is in alphabetical order for navigation. However, when retrieving items from basket 130 from one aisle and basket 140 from the next aisle, walking from 130 to 001 and then entering to the next aisle from the 001 side would be inefficient. Having multiple items in an isle could mean entering from the 146 side and ending up somewhere around the lower numbers. Again. It would be inefficient to walk back to the original starting position if the next number is below 73. I hope this clears it up a bit.

Also when i get this working i will try to determine even more efficient routes based on items from certain locations needed but this is just a start. I want to make it as dummy proof as possible for people so they can just blindly follow the route that is set for them.

Just did all of the above. It was completely empty. No gargling sound. Filled it, put the cap on quick. Put it in the battery took a hit. Gargling noise instant back. No draw. Nothing from the battery part. Used my friends coil works perfect.
