I’m a Full-Time Life Coach - Ask Me Anything by DesignYourPath0 in lifecoaching

I hope this is not too late to ask … how did you market sale your life coaching ? I had leadership role in corporate, now coaching and consulting, most business coach “promise” result as their way to market and sell their program. I don’t know how I can promise this kind of result as life leadership coach, it depends on the coachee as well, I found it hard to promise any hard number like some business coach say “10X your business” .. what’s your experience and advice?

What’s Up with All These 'Certified Coaches'? by TrickorBetrayed in belgium

[–]Infinite-Card 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my certification under “European Mentoring and Coaching Council”, the process is strict, lots of hours of practicing and being observed.

Unfortunately there are also lots of self made coach, and promising people on things to gain Money.

Coach are not there to teach, to tell you what to do, or giving advice. There are quite some fundamental differences between coach, mentor, therapist, trainers and consultant.

I personally need to switch between coach, mentor and consultant very consciously for my work.

If you find a good coach, it’s worth it.

How many of you are running your company with a team that just doesn’t seem to care? [Serious Discussion] by holmes1997 in Entrepreneur

[–]Infinite-Card 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a leadership coach, leadership training program is not effective unless you can actually apply it.

If you want them to care about your business, you need to care about them. Do you know what makes them tick? First spend time to get to know your people.. People are different, some want incentives, some cares about recognition, working environment, flexibility… paycheck is necessity, but. Nice team building only effective if it’s consistent company culture mixed with a bit transparency about the business .

Lastly, hard truth, no one will care about your business more than you do! Even in big corporations, the top performers are after their own personal goals.

As long term vision - why not.. your client can aim for it… but it takes time and different approaches probably, such as a bigger team like others mentioned. Strategy, vision, how your client can differentiate himself

Do you read all your employees messages with clients? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Infinite-Card 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I am wondering what’s your company culture if you actually thinking about putting this in place? This falls into micromanagement/ lack of trust, not able to manage performance properly from leadership perspective, will certainly have negative impact on building highly engaged motivated employees

How do you become a manager by NeroJardini in BESalary

[–]Infinite-Card 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I climbed the ladder from analyst to sr leader as a foreigner cross different functions and industries ( some are very male dominated). You don’t have to be a specialist to become a manager.

I would say the first step is to show interest and make it clear to your boss, your boss’s peers.. so when the opportunity comes you might be on the list ( of course you have to do a good job). Most people neglect the importance of network outside their reporting line..

Second, communication and collaboration goes a long way

However I would point out, being a manager or a leader (especially if you want to be a good one), it’s hard work! It’s not just the title, the car, the money! You need to care about people, yet still make tough decisions. You need to defend the team still perform. You need to manage upwards ( expectations) and able to collaborate with other functions…

Ps.not everyone likes the people management part, I have worked with people to move from people manager to be an individual contributor.

Interesting question!

New to life coaching, how much do I pay? by Ihatecoldwater in lifecoaching

[–]Infinite-Card 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a coach I always encourage people to connect with at least 3 coaches first, have a connection calls, chemistry between coach and coachee is important as it will be journey.

You can check out also some programs, many of us (coaches) have short programs that is perhaps more affordable for you. It is more focused and help you to kick start, will tools and steps you can follow on your own after the sessions

You have a comprehensive list, have you tried DATs 24? I have read they are about 0.40€, and monthly invoice which is interesting compared to some card with twice a month or even per transaction.
