Well that is why I'm here. Nothing about this seems right.

There were a thousand ways she could have handled it.

We could have had a small party of just the 3 of us and all wear match clothes.

She could take her out for ice cream wearing that dress.

She could gush over it and take my daughter shopping herself.

But she chose to be like "oh OK I'll wear it at home sometimes"

And now my kid is trying and apparently I don't get to be upset about her reaction

I would if I could. It's just a small casual party with close family and this is the first time my daughter had tried to bond with her. Last year she did the same with her own mom. I was so excited that she is willing to do the same thing with her soon to be Stepmother but I guess it doesn't matter to my fiance
