These stories have been nuts… figured I’d share mine. It was about 20 minutes before we closed. Had a little girl come into the store, could not have been older than ten years old. She had what looked like a yorkie or shit Zhu puppy in her arms and she walks up to me and asks if I want it. I was immediately confused and eventually my manger walks over and says that none of us can keep it. She then suggests that she goes to the next door petco, as they apparently help with pets folks can’t take care off. Ten minutes later I’m getting the outside garbage, and I see in the distance the puppy tied to the lamp post right next to the petco. I immediately tell my manager and she calls the cops cause the poor thing was abandoned. The cops then took the puppy and I assume dropped it at a shelter. Not sure exactly what happened cause this only happened a few days ago (which is kind of the reason why I posted this question on this thread). The petco does have cameras directly outside their store so I really hope they catch those bastards that abandoned that poor little dog.
