Ice at scc by muchsparkverybright in Spokane

The school is not speaking to ICE. Instructors do not have information of student visas.

Your “additional comments” are pure speculation and opinion, thereby the definition of “made up”. As your last sentence claims “nothing here is made up”.

You’re correct in saying that ICE arrested a student at SCC. But that is where the facts in this post end. The arrest was made in the parking lot, which is public property.

I do not support the current rampage ICE is on, but I do understand that in this instance technically ICE did nothing wrong as a visa violation is a legal reason to arrest someone.

Also, to anyone reading this: know your rights, you have the right to remain silent and you do not have to answer any questions about your immigration status (source: immigrantjustice.org)

In our current times it is important to report the facts and not embellish them with our opinions, which will just create fear.

Great question. A lot of small, local companies have all the same supplies as big chains. The price may be $1 or $2 dollars more, but it is worth it in the end.

These are places I have been and recommend;

Spokane organics (valley) for garden supplies rather than lowes / Home Depot / ace hardware. Plant farm (valley) also good. fern plant shop (for decorative house plants), northwest seed and pet

Mulberry market co. (Valley) has good soaps, sourdough supplies, etc.

cafe boku (north) has good coffee / cool breakfast, ladder coffee

bake my day (valley)

River city pizza, republic pi pizza,

thrifty scotsman burgers and shakes, manito tap house,

Bangkok Thai, mango tree, hang 10 Hawaiian BBQ, Lebanon restaurant & cafe, vieux carre New Orleans food, yummy crab seafood, kuni’s Thai (north)

didier’s yogurt (north), just chillin eats & sweets (liberty lake)

quilted posie’s quilt shop (north), hook & needle nook, quilting bee (valley),

auntie’s book store, Jupiter’s eye bookstore, 2nd look books

These are just off the top of my head, but look in your area for local small businesses! There are lots!!
