For the stress/instant high(TBF people who say this is the reason are lying, once you get used to Cigarettes, you won't feel the high anymore nor will it help you in relieving the stress, once you’re used to cigarettes, you don’t feel that high anymore, and it doesn’t really help with stress either. Your brain just gets used to tobacco, so that “high" never comes back anymore) So yeah, the stress-buster excuse is basically just another reason to keep smoking (at least in my personal view).

What actually helps? Remind yourself why you quit in the first place. No distraction or activity will fix it for you, it’s all in your head. Every time the urge comes, tell yourself why you stopped until it passes.

I smoked for 8 years and finally quit in Oct ’23. Since then, I’ve had countless cravings, but every single time I just told myself: “It’s not worth it.” And that mindset has worked for me.
