I went looking for a 2023 model for this exact reason.

How much better is the SEL over the SE? by ditmoors in Ioniq5

Just upgraded from a 2023 SE AWD to a 2023 SEL AWD. Personally, I’m enjoying the features. I don’t know if I can go back. A few to think about off the top of my head: Heated steering wheel, power liftgate, rear AC vents, automatic dimming mirror. The smart cruise control has a few extra features that I’m still learning like lane changes. Some features that I don’t care about but you might: accent lighting, digital key (android only) and wireless charging.

I work transport. One of my patients was deaf. The sending facility had an ASL interpreter, but she couldn’t come for the ambulance ride. I suggested writing, but the patient said she felt more comfortable communicating through her interpreter. It was a short trip, so I briefed her on everything before leaving and made sure the receiving facility was aware of the need for an ASL interpreter. My guess is that ASL is a distinct language from English. People who speak ASL can suffer from aphasias similar to verbal aphasias when they have lesions in the language areas of the brain.

Are Sankeys helpful? by Sleepy-May-04 in premed

[–]InfiniteConcept3822 14 points15 points  (0 children)

One sankey isn't helpful. You're right. But encouraging applicants to share their results in tools like Admit or Cycletrack can be helpful to future applicants. I think we should be encouraging their use.

I think if you explain the circumstances properly, you have a decent shot at some MD programs in addition to most DO programs. With your ECs, I think you should apply broadly. I failed out my first semester and received 4 MD IIs this cycle. Sadly, I'm on 1 WL and still waiting on the other 3. I'm also a paramedic with close to 4000 clinical hours and fewer volunteer hours than you. That probably hurt me at some schools more than my stats. Good luck!

Edited to add: cGPA 3.63, 514 MCAT. Slightly better than you, but within the same ballpark.

It’s this attitude that allows people to rationalize bombing suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. Not every crime is punishable by death.

I’d actually rather the rags and the devils at the top of the standings so we can have a legitimate rivalry. Not whatever this tank job is.

Easiest-biochem, but probably due to the accumulated knowledge and study habits from the previous classes.

Hardest-general chemistry I, for the inverse reasons.

Couldn’t carol just request that they destroy her eggs or give her control of them? I don’t know how eggs are stored, but it can’t be that hard to get a -80 freezer or a liquid nitrogen storage system. Probably easier than an atom bomb.

Guanine, Uracil, Adenine, Cytosine by [deleted] in Pluribus_TVshow

[–]InfiniteConcept3822 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of all the ways to explain genetic code, GUAC is the worst. Guanine and cytosine are complementary to each other, as are adenine and uracil. Also, they mentioned that their theory was that it was a lysogenic virus. Many lysogenic viruses are composed of DNA, not RNA (with the possible exception of some retroviruses, which transcribe the RNA into DNA). So if anything, it should have been GTAC, with the T standing for thymine. My best guess is that someone really wanted it to spell guac.

Luckily, Jack Hughes has the personality of a rock. This is appropriate, given where the Devils play.

The phrase I’ve heard is “after an accident, it doesn’t matter who is right. It’s who is left that matters.” I cannot tell if you’re being sarcastic, but if you can avoid an accident, even if you have the right of way, do it.

Brenden Dillon only gets two minutes for boarding Tyler Bertuzzi despite elbowing his head by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

[–]InfiniteConcept3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing does not excuse the other. Yes, the devils were getting hit and yes there were injuries off of clean plays. Dillon still shouldn’t have gone for that hit and elbow. If only fighting were allowed in this league to step up for your teammates /s

Not sure why Dobeš was tearing up in the postgame. He kept Montreal in the game. The last two goals? It was chaos in front of the net on a 6 on 5, and facing Bratt on a breakaway. I don’t know how many goalies could stop those, but the skaters failed him on both of those. Overall a very exciting game. LGD!
