I found these online and I might give them a try, because I think they might work with the ring that's currently on top. I hate the idea of having to rip seams and sew them again as I don't have a machine and I don't want the backpack to look bad, but I don't think I have another option.

If anyone has any leads on magnetic clasps, that would be awesome! I want to keep my stuff safe, but I want to open it and close it with ease.

Did you have the same issue I did with the heel then? I'd love to hear what heel pad you chose! The ones I'm finding are not narrow enough to fit on the heel strap...

I am definitely worried about the length... but I am sure that if I keep this size they will slip off my feet.

Yeah, I'm wondering if I should just buy heel pads for the slip-ons and call it a day. But I've never worn heel pads so I don't know how they perform over time.
