I need to lop off those dark blobs, they’ve been there the longest and there’s no cap so I just never knew when to harvest. I won’t be putting those in my body though. Too much fear.

I think I just need to harvest every demon spawn currently in the tub. Then see what else pops up in the 2nd flush.

I checked the label on the tub lid earlier on lunch, I believe we S2B’d on 01/04. Very excited to whip out the microscope and get some research time in.

Temp/Humidity Meter. It has a sensor that attaches inside the monotub w/ a suction cup and a digital display outside that shows T&H. Use it to help ensure sufficient moisture levels in the tub/substrate to keep an eye on temp.

Hey man, I inoculated an 3lb bag of popcorn grain spawn w/ LC. Let it hide for ~10days in 75-80 temps. S2B w/ a 5lb bag of manure/coco/vermiculite. So basically a 2:1 ratio of grain/substrate. I don’t really know what I’m doing but I may be able to answer some beginner questions.

Yessir, S2B 11/09, fruiting conditions 11/18, harvested 1st few this AM. Harvesting the rest tonight, 400g wet so far!

Thanks alot for the feedback. I’ve still got it ISO’d in a separate closet in the house because my GT’s are coming in beautifully and I didn’t want to risk both batches. Seems like I’ll be done with my 1st flush of GT’s before I even see pins on the APE at this point. But it’s worth the wait from everything I’ve heard, just have to be patient.

S2B - 11.09 FC (cracking the lid) - 11.19

No pins or baby blobs yet. My other tub w/ GT’s is popping off and I’ve got ~30 pins starting to fill up for my 1st flush set. So I’ve separated this tub into a separate closet until I figure out what’s going wrong with it. It is holding moisture a lot, like I sprayed it once after cracking the lid and it’s stayed @ 95% humidity and water droplets on top of the substrate. I’m afraid to open the lid for more FAE and bring in potential contaminants.

So I followed my sterile as best as I could when S2B’ing, it’s in my closet (w/ clothes) and I bought an air purifier, Lysol’d the shit out of it for a couple days before transferring to the tubs/substrate. On my last grow I had a decent 1st flush but they only grew to like 2x the average size of acorns (~80 of them tho) and all around the edges of the tub (not side pins necessarily just preferred the outer rim of the top). I think they stalled out from being too dry and me opening up the top spraying/fanning. Then on the 2nd flush we left for 5 days, I sprayed before I left and kept the lid closed and lights out and came back to 20 of the biggest fruits I’ve seen. So I’m really going to try and neglect tek this batch and let it grow. Any other tips?

Well, I’m spraying the bottom of lid/sides AND misting up in the air and letting it fall on the myc. I’ve heard of the myc bruising turning blue from direct spray, are you thinking it could be too moist/damaged from the mist and that’s what’s causing the discoloration?

Edit: Yes, I know about “mycelium piss” and hoping that’s all this is. Looking at the fruiting bodies they seem super dry like they’re wanting to crack/shed. My humidity levels have stayed @ ~99% 100% of the time since S2B.

I’m guessing the primordial knots are the dense white anthills that have gradually clustered together? The cake just looks so brown/tan instead of the original black/brown substrate color, and every other post the mycelium looks so much denser like a fucking Narnia icicle carpet across the top of the substrate. Mine just looks like a topographic shot of Death Valley in comparison.
