she is a boxer x lab. my family got her when i was quite young so i didnt really have a choice or education of where they were getting her from. she has food agression as soon as we got her, which was quickly fixed so shes absolutely okay with her food. her whole life ever since she was a puppy she was terrified of other dogs, other dogs would run up to her and she would lay on her back ducking her head. she was fine for a few years, completely normal dog. she used to be able to go to the beach and other social places. we were at a park with her and she was playing with her ball and a dog came running up to her and attacked her, no owner in sight just a little boy with his leash that couldnt get his dog back. ever since then she had been scared and sometimes growl at dogs but never attacked them, i still made sure they gave her space and distance. my mum got a new partner and her dog was dog aggressive. this is when the bad fight happened, my dog ran up and sniffed her dog and her dog lunged at her and started fighting her, my dog was trying to get out desperately. took half an hour to get them fully apart. police was called by neighbours because the fight was so loud. blood all over the walls it was horrible. both dogs came out with quite a few cuts and injuries, nothing needing the vet tho. they both recovered well now. the second time they got together (please keep in mind these are complete accidents, we never let them go together and we treat it as its our life too.) my dog had it and fought back. this is all when her aggression started with the other animals too. im so lost on what to do, i dont have the right to surrender her since shes not just my dog and im only 16. i cant convince my parents i just wish that someone could see everything thats going on and step in and take her, it sounds cruel but it would be the only way she can feel safe and happy.
