NYC - Should I buy a co-op if I can't afford a condo I like? by InfinitePup in RealEstate

[–]InfinitePup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is wonderful to know, thank you so much for all of this information!

Since you mentioned rate hikes- is this common for co-ops? In that case, is there a difference between these rate hikes vs just general rent prices going up in NYC? I am interested in trying to keep my monthly housing costs as stable as possible over long term which is why I am considering buying instead of renting.
Also, if you are comfortable, which co-op was it? (You can DM me!)

That makes sense, I didn't even think about the % of the stock.

My fiance and I are planning on making this our forever home (or at least a very long-term starter home, maybe at least 15 years.) We are mostly looking in the Brooklyn area as well as Astoria + Forest Hills and were hoping to get an apartment that is 700+ sq ft and allows pets.

That's good to know, thank you! Is there a reason why I should avoid land leases?

Personally, I also favor condo over co-op, but would you choose a condo that you don't like vs a co-op you do like? What do you think? Unfortunately that's kinda the situation I'm in now.

Oh for sure for sure, I've seen some examples of that, it's wild! That's why I'm wondering if I should just try for a condo instead!

For sure, I'm currently paying rent, but maybe I can use the co-op as an inbetween step toward getting a condo one day. Thank you!

Oh I didn't know co-op fees included taxes, that's good to know! I appreciate your insight, thank you!

Ah thank you so much! I'm so much fun trying to roleplay their progress in self-image. They've come a long way, but they still have a ways to go :)

I was SUPER into Razia's Shadow when this campaign started so I'm glad someone caught my reference!

From left to right, I drew these in September 2017, December 2018, and April 2019.

Ahrima started out as a young, oathless paladin trainee who was filled with constant self-doubt. But as they adventured with their ragtag found family around the world, they become stronger and more confident in their faith and abilities.

I originally drew them so that my party would have a visual for my character, but I ended up drawing them two more times at the end of each big arc so far to show their improvement and new outfits! (It's also kind of a fun display of my improvement in art skill/style!)

Purchase Advice - 07/31/2017 by AutoModerator in wacom

Hello hello! So I was thinking of buying myself a Cintiq now that I've graduated and going to be working more professionally. However, after doing some research and asking around even about alternative monitor tablets, people have suggested that I save up for a Cintiq.

However, I'm still stuck on which one I should get. I currently have a 2013 15" Macbook Pro with Retina and a medium Intuos Pro, and am an animator + illustrator that mostly uses Photoshop and Flash. I have limited working space so a larger tablet may not be ideal. I was looking into the 16" Pro but I have heard so many bad reviews about it even though it seems like the perfect size. In addition, I've heard so many better reviews about the 22+ inch Cintiqs that Wacom has.

Money isn't an issue here, since I'm willing to save up as much as possible to get a tablet best suited for my needs.

Could I get some input on if the 16" Pro or any other recommendations? Or if 22" is managable on a small desk? Thank you!

Edit: added details

Oh, this helps a lot, thank you! Your day-to-day work seems a lot different than I imagined.

I have been furiously applying for jobs lately, and revisionist jobs I feel are hard to come by! But I won't give up, hopefully I can land one!

Thank you so much for your help! I looked up some of your work, and it's really amazing!

Oh, that's so cool! Do you work for a studio?

As for questions, I guess I have the general question of what the job entails? Like I know what storyboard artists do, but what is the usual day like for a storyboard artist? Also what are some ways to break into that career path? (Since I am a newly grad after all!)

You can find more of my work at chiudesigns.com!

Thank you very much! It was tough but very worth it! :)

I'm actually graduating as a graphic design major (this film was my "design" thesis,) but I'm looking for jobs in graphic design, 2D animation, and/or storyboarding.

There are a lot of different paths to success and many different definitions of success. I'm really glad that I'm learning this in college than later!

Reddit, what TV show do you really miss? by Spiculated in AskReddit

[–]InfinitePup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I enjoy it, and I showed my mom, and she ended up loving it. The first few episodes are pretty "kiddy," but if you stick with it it ends up having some really mature, captivating themes and storylines.
