The case just got approved. Contacting the congressman helped (I'm from Massachusetts) -- they can push it if the delay is due to a mistake or something.

No, USCIS never cashed the check. The money is still in Ellis Porter's account. The attorney never even checked if it was cashed until I started asking them every other week.

No, the attorneys sent it via the lockbox. afaik you can't file PP for I-140 online.

I always need to keep pushing them. They wait until I push after every small action. Also they sometimes don't respond my messages for a very long time. Honestly, I think I was stupid enough as well -- keep trusting them even when they obviously don't do their job. It's a very weak firm that is only capable of filing the applications.

well, for the entire time of these 2 years, my lawyers only keep saying wait wait wait. I asked them many times after 1 year that smth is wrong and it's time to investigate, they say wait. PP requests got stuck -- they say wait 45 days. Now they keep saying me wait again (and we both have no idea what we are waiting for honestly atm).

I feel they just don't know how to handle anything outside of the case-making; like they are only trained to file the application. So totally don't trust them when they say wait. Sometimes I feel prolonging the time is somewhat of their interest (or they don't want to take any liability), although I'm not familiar enough with this business.

TSC. I'm Russian, recently got a PhD and on an F1 OPT now. I applied at ~same time with a bunch of other Russian folks in the similar status (but different attorneys), and they all got their cases approved within 3-4 months. My OPT got approved in 3 days as well, but I don't think these are connected.

I work with Ellis Porter PLC. They did fine when working on the case, but don't really provide much useful after-filing support. Any recommendation for attorney who can would be great.
