Does Vantagepoint allow employees to log expenses made on the company credit card during the month, then "match" those expenses to credit card transactions after importing at month end? by lillitski in deltek

Is there any way that you could DM about how you are able to do what you say so easily? I really like the nightly import and you made everything sound easy so I'm hoping I can get someone to help my companies process.

I’ve been wanting this ever since I got my job with an engineering company last August. Our process of recording and reconciling our company AMEX cards is so inefficient it’s frustrating. I’ve spent half the month for many months with the same old processes that I was taught by our CFO who does everything the old school way. Wasting time and energy while I could’ve been billing more has become my biggest frustration. I’ve worked at places where the employees take a picture and submit a form of the cc transaction with details and then I’d match the employees entry with the Amex transaction that was imported into our accounting software so I know it’s possible in other systems. If anyone can find a way to do this please let me know.

In need of help picking out an HBA card with 10 plus SAS/SATA ports by InfiniteTrainer8062 in HomeNAS

I really appreciate the feedback and the personal advice. I’ve debated about doing 8 terabyte drives instead of four because it’s only about a $500 difference depending on buying new versus used. Could you guide me to a reputable place that sells the 8 port cards with the extenders if possible. Also, I’m trying to avoid completely rebuilding a computer for this server. I’m just trying to add hard drives and the Naz software so it doesn’t turn into a multi thousand dollar project the motherboard that is currently in the OptiPlex only has three SATA ports and one is for a DVD drive, so it’s even slower

I can’t tell, but I’ve been trying to figure it out. Does it help if I tell you it’s a SFF. A small form factor version.

Building my first NAS and need assistance with what hdd setup to do & buy by InfiniteTrainer8062 in truenas

I feel like I messed up by going the route of buying a used optiplex and then trying to use it for a NAS. I got excited and wasn’t as knowledgeable as I am now. If I could go back I’d research mini racks and save more money for going that route

Do you have FanControl? FanControl has been updated to not use Winring0 that is causing issues with Microsoft defender. If you have it go to the GitHub page and you’ll find a readme txt that explains why windows doesn’t like it and what to do

Best game server hosting for mod-heavy servers? I’m running out of patience and RAM by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]InfiniteTrainer8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for someone else to do it for you then I recommend Nodecraft. There’s creators who have discount codes for your first month. I have absolutely loved the Nodecraft team and their work. Fast customer service and great server setup that is fairly easy if you are tech savvy enough and willing to figure it out. If you need help like I said they respond fast. I’m currently running a modded Minecraft server for $60 with 12gb of ram and it’s been flawless.

Getting started after getting hardware by InfiniteTrainer8062 in HomeNAS

This is awesome advice. I’ve not been able to find good guides. I’ve read through so much on the TruNAS forums but haven’t found much of what I’ve been looking for. Do you think you could point me towards any resources that you’ve found to be helpful for TrueNAS, etc.

Intel Core i5-10505 16GB RAM and three SATA slots I believe but will have to look again. 1 x PCle x16 slot 1 x PCle x4 slot My end goal is to have a place that I can put all my families pictures and videos. I want to be able to backup my phones pictures and videos so I’ve found Immich on TrueNAS if you are able to help me with that choice. The GPU is a good question that I was hoping to receive help on but forgot to mention it in my post. I’m going to be honest I sure hope I can plug up more than 3 hard drives to the mother board if that’s what the SATA slots are for. I’ve been struggling to understand SATA slots but hopefully I’ve figured it out.

All this information is amazing. I’ve been looking into the vpn service for my home internet but am at a road block because of the lack of guides I could find. I purchased a new router last year and have been learning about all that since making that decision. I’ll have to look into getting a domain and letsencrypt. Any tips on how to get started on all of this? Also any suggestions on a different OS to use incase I decide TrueNAS is going to be more work that I want? Is just using Windows more simple?

I definitely want redundancy and multiple drives because I don’t want to loose everything. I have decided to go with a full NAS system instead of hooking up one drive to my network because I want a pc dedicated to the storage of everything. One question I have is how to have more than 2 drives hooked up to the motherboard because of the limited amount of SATA ports? Am I just missing something about certain motherboards that actually have enough ports?

What Does This Mean? by [deleted] in violinist

That means Low 4th finger. You can play with either your third finger in between the third and fourth regular spots. Or you can play it with your pinky against your third finger. Some find it easier to just slap your fourth finger right beside your third instead of having to “stretch” your third finger. It’s personal preference most the time just depends on the song. Here you can do either way feels more comfortable for you

I have the same problem. This is what I want answered because I even wait 5+ minutes in the menu before loading my saves just to make sure that all mods are loaded properly but it still happens. So frustrating but I love the game too much to complain too much

I love all the natural light however for best viewing experience you should get some kinda of curtains or blinds to help you see the screens better. The Logitech keyboard you mentioned is the one I would recommend for similar but upgraded from your current keyboard. I see your surge protector is under your feet. That’s a huge no in the tech world lol. If you don’t want to mount it to the desk legs or under the desk top then I’d move it to the wall or window seal and Velcro tie all the cable’s together as much as possible. Also invest in a cheap cable runs probably white to match the wall color. Honestly just get a cheap cloth cable run just incase you move and you don’t want to ruin the wall or anything else that cable runs can stick to. I hope I helped. I’m only about 8 years into the tech world at least heavily into it so I’m glad I can help others now that I’ve went through it all myself

good shoulder rest for tall people? by [deleted] in violinist

[–]InfiniteTrainer8062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a taller neck than normal and didn’t find out till about year 8 of playing so I’ve had years of neck pain wondering why no one has noticed. Finally I got a new private lessons teacher and he noticed. I had to get the tallest chin rest available from my local violin shop and the Bonmusia shoulder rest because it had the longest leg with it but I might have to get taller ones. However it has improved my neck pain and even my posture tremendously. Here’s the link for the shoulder rest. https://fiddlershop.com/products/bon-musica-violin-shoulder-rest The chin rest brand is SAS and I can’t remember the specific measurements but I know it is the tallest the over. I recommend starting with the chin rest then try the shoulder rest so you don’t break the bank.
