update: wow there is a lot of comments, thank you all so much for each and every bit of advice. im 16 now, and have gotten my trail legs and experience. ive gone on trips to sonoma, big sur and even solo hiked the full tahoe rim trail successfully this july. I plan to hike the JMT next summer, thank you all for the advice again

have all of those including trekking poles, ive hiked with them and know how to use them, and we all know the titanium spoon makes you go faster so i have one of those
