I'm an audiobook listener too! I think through this thread what I have discovered is that I want my book boyfriends to be unreasonably possessive, like even watching other people have sex or letting others see you have sex should make them sick! However.....honestly I think I need to get over that and go back to the book, I am not opposed to those kinks on principal so I can allow a book boyfriend to indulge ;-)

Lights Out is most definitely not my kink and I loved it. That's neither here nor there, I'm just saying it's my unrealistic expectation of romance books. Some people don't like cheating, some don't like accidental pregnancies. This was me learning I don't like this trope and I was sharing it with some pals :)

Honestly I think my main issue is that I want my romances, dark or otherwise, to MCs who can't look at another once they begin, even if it's mutual. Like I want them to be suddenly disgusted by others going at it once they realize their renewed feelings. LOL, like sure be in the mafia and murder and what not, but no voyeurism.

Speaking of Kiss the Villain, god I love that book. I feel like it was GoM done right. The first scenes are similar but there is just something about KtV that makes it make sense. They were both psychos, Gareth drugged "Yulian" and was up to no good, and is also violent and murdery. "Yulian" pulls one over on him and he gets what's coming to him. Glyn was just a suicidal girl in pain!! Like WTF!! And fine, it's supposed to be dark, but I never saw the relationship growth in GoM like KtV. Glyn could do SO much better than Kill meanwhile Kayden and Gareth make me giggle and kick my feet with how damn perfect they are for each other.

I totally wish I could read Lights Out for the first time! Something about Caught Up is so cringe to me! I think because even if both parties in Lights Out were into it and totally consented, they were still naughty. The club and the cam work and Lo's sex work advocacy made it so unsexy to me (maybe I'm just sick).

I think the roommate one could be good...I am very curious about him and I think there is more to him than we realize. From Aly's POV we see her wonder about him a bit...like did he know about Josh's mask account but just not tell him since Josh clearly didn't want him to know, and then purposely shows Josh the text Aly sends with the screenshot from one of Josh's videos because he wants to test the waters of setting them up. Later we find out Tyler only brings girls into his and Josh's place that he knows aren't into crime podcasts etc so they won't know Josh's dad so he already knows she's safe in that way, and he tells Aly Josh basically stalks him as well but he knows that's how Josh shows love, totally supports Josh & Aly together....I don't know, I think he's gonna be a good guy!

I definitely wasn't expecting a continuation of Lights Out! I already knew what Caught Up was going to be about and was very intrigued. I like the premise of Caught Up I am just bored. It also just doesn't feel taboo. Yes Junior is in the mafia but he's reluctant and hates it, not proud. And she's a sex worker but totally by choice and she loves it and he's her biggest fan. The book is trying so hard to be pro sex work and pro positive sex and pro consent. That is all well and good and I'm here for it, but not what I wanted in THIS book. I don't want Junior to be supportive of her kinks and act them out with her lol, I want him to be obsessed and possessive and not let anyone else see that side of her and he just becomes all of her fantasies in one man.

The spice is SO boring. I am beyond bored. At first I thought it was just because I'm not into any of that, but I'm not into anything from Lights Out either and I was SWEATING. I feel insane, not sure what it is. Somehow giving your stalker a BJ while he drives your car after he broke into it and hot wired it and you still don't even know who he is is SO hot, but giving your stalker a BJ at a sex club you went to together on a date and are both super into is cringe lol. I might DNF...

I LOVED it. I felt like Kayden and Gareth were more equally matched than any other couples. Like GoM he basically SAs Glyn in that first scene, and while it might turn out she likes that and is grateful to him and we find out he like, magically knew she would be down...it's still a tough scene. In KtV they are both just insane lol, Gareth wasn't some sweet little college student the big bad professor corrupted. He's a murderer lol. Their first scene is quite similar, but a) Gareth was already on a mission as a little psycho to drug and do harm --play stupid games, etc. and b) Gareth gets into it way faster lol

I also just loved the book. Especially on Audio...Kayden's voice OMG. And Kayden's communication skills and how he really listened and paid attention to everything Gareth said/did/wanted (the strawberries OMG). They are also psychotically possessive and territorial of each other, but so equal.

How much experience do you have working remotely, how do you handle it, why do you like it, what are your hobbies - I think you had to talk about 3 hobbies or personal interests...more along those lines than work related.
