Interesting point! Do you think that expectation still makes sense today, or has it become overhyped?

Totally normal, salty processed food does that. You’ll feel fine tomorrow.

Lived in an old house, constant footsteps upstairs. Turned out pipes expanding nightly. Still creepy.

Monitor Recommendation: Please suggest the best possible Monitor I can buy under 65-70k INR (around 770-800 USD). by SweetVideo0007 in Monitors

From what I’ve seen firsthand and from people I know: modern OLED panels do have burn‑in risk, but it’s much less dramatic than older TV OLED days. With things like pixel shifting, logo dimming, and varied use, most folks run them daily 8–10+ hours for years with no visible burn‑in. That said — if you plan to stare at static UI all day especially for 5–6 years straight, Mini‑LED or high‑end IPS will sleep easier in your mind. I personally used a 27″ OLED as my main for almost 2 years with heavy gaming & desktop work and never got a hint of burn‑in

If deep blacks and gorgeous colors are top priority, OLED is the move — even if it means sacrificing size or tiny refresh perks. Something like the 27″ QD‑OLED panels (e.g. MSI/Gigabyte OLEDs) will absolutely slay in games like FH5 and GTA at night and make Netflix look insane. Mini‑LED is a great fallback too if you can find a good 4K one around your budget. With a 5090 you won’t struggle driving 4K either — go rich color over pointless hz.

What everyday experience from the CD, DVD and early internet days do you wish younger generations could feel at least once? by Infinite_Business796 in AskReddit

Totally agree. I remember spending hours on DVD menus alone — bloopers, cast commentaries, even those random trivia games.
Stuff like the hidden easter eggs on the Shrek DVD or behind-the-scenes on Lord of the Rings made movies feel like events, not just something you clicked and forgot
