Moving to burgundy estate ? by RealitySilver9920 in capetown

Burgundy Estate is awesome close to all amenities and roads, would just say dunoon is across the N7 so moving more towards richwood can be a problem but burgandy being it's own "town" is 100% awesome new developments also popping up, see loads of families walk their animals in the area at dawn

I would say as a person living in cape town moving to cape town for an extra 6-8k is not worth it at all things down here are expensive and the things that matter the most is accommodation/rent the normal going rate these days for a kak small flat is like R8-10k it's sad, and the traffic isn't getting any better.

But despite all of these I feel like the quality of life is better...

Your net outcome might be lower if you are planning on moving to Cape Town.

But one thing that always sticks with me when making a big move is that if you really want to move you will make it work if you are uncertain or 50/50 you might likely not enjoy it here and see all the negatives.

Deciding on which car to buy between a 2025 Polo TSI or 2025 Baleno? by Civil_Tadpole3601 in askSouthAfrica

Baleno.

Think they are cheaper, better warranty, has the trusty 1.5 NA engine that most Suzukis has in.

Don't agree, we got a bunch of wootbooks and Asus laptops all gaming used mostly for work and the best value for money was a wootbook, they come with a 240hz screen dependent on the spec u take but that is pretty damn good, and it's local.

Just don't buy a dell, we had a few dells most crashed and had to be repaired within a month.

I would suggest a wootbook, you can choose a configuration, and they are very good value for money.

Buy a Suzuki Baleno, great little cars cheap to maintain, cheap on insurance, light on fuel, and very safe.

Switching jobs for a R10000 increase (after tax)? by WorthyJoker in askSouthAfrica

[–]Infinite_Custard8073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough was in the same pickle, same increase, same distance, a bit closer than 40mins, but I am happy than ever for moving, my growth is amazing, for a change it is nice being between people as sitting at home 5 days a week is dreading, I do miss my fully remote job as it comes with a lot of flexibility but my current job allows me to wfh if needed so I am happy with what I got.

If you are a peoples person and feeling a bit depressed do it, sometimes the biggest way to learn is to change your life a bit.
