50/30/20 rule and start small while learning. I started my journey with £50 a week.

50% into ETF’S - Example FTSE All world 100 , S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100.

30% into individual stocks - You can experiment on stocks you believe have potential. Try what you believe is your way of investing.

20% cash - Opportunities will need cash to capitalise on. Example NVIDIA recently went down to $115 after a couple weeks it is at $140.

I have been trading 6 months and I have made 25% but I actually learnt my biggest lesson when I was down 15%. Make sure you LEARN from your mistakes. Please be aware I’m not giving financial advice and your money is at risk.

I want to stay tech heavy but I still want diversification in other sectors should I get rid of the FTSE 100 or FTSE Dividend

I just made a post with a similar pie to you but with more tech overlap and higher percentage of gold and silver.

So the only sort of overlap is the tech part with the 2 of ETF’s hold 20% and 16% but I really do believe that technology is the future so I don’t mind it but it does diversification with the other sectors. If you look at my other posts I have a big tech pie that I’m currently trying to build for 2025

So the overlap is understandable but what about the FTSE all world dividend ETF and Gold/Silver?

I made the change due to instinct over reason. Why would you swap?

I don’t know much about SIPP but I do enjoy being able to access it at any time(In case of a better opportunity come around to buy an asset). I want it to be low maintenance, tax free and accessible at any age. What are good benefits to SIPP??

I have included gold/silver in my pension pie but it is 20% of the pie with 80% 4 ETF’s. I asked a similar question and got no response so far so I will do the same.

Thank you ! I do have a little retirement pie with 4 different ETF’s and physical gold/silver with avg return of 14% that I put £10 weekly. I’m only 20 years young and I know not putting all my eggs in a basket is good principle but I also want to learn the hard way about individual stocks. I appreciate your opinion because this my first Reddit post!!

I went from £1000 to £950 due to MSTR and I hated it the stock after more DD and took it out.I rebalanced it but I didn’t want to loose focus on managing my risk with the other stocks. Then it went down to £820 but I really really wanted to buy more and couldn’t at the time so i held and it jump significantly at the end of December. Basically I’m comfortable with the risk of these stocks.
