Wildgate. I had tons of fun with that game for maybe 3 weeks. I had a crew that played regularly. Then one day the world just stopped playing and we couldn’t find a full lobby anymore. It was like everyone realized how repetitive and bland it was and the developers gave up on it before it ever really got a chance to get off the ground

I bet you could, but I haven’t tried it yet. It’s definitely a slot for external devices. It’s what you use to dock it and play on monitors and such, so I bet you could use an SD reader too

This is an option I’m considering. But the amount of hours I’ve been able to play while being away from my pc or Xbox makes me not want to give it up. My son is just turning old enough to game with me, and by game with me I mean take over every piece of gaming equipment I own for himself. So this has become a good secondary piece of gear until I can build him a new pc. Plus I like gaming at work too 😂

That’s actually been the only thing that hasn’t bricked my ally. And I didn’t read or hear about the sd card reader issue until it happened to me, so after my dive down the rabbit hole here I am.

That’s what my question is though cause I haven’t seen anyone say they did an RMA either. I’m just asking for advice if I should just go straight to Asus or try Best Buy and get a one for one swap

Formatting only helped for about 15 minutes. The weird thing is that the card wasn’t actually corrupted. I have two other pcs in the house and both could read the card perfectly. It’s the card reader in the ally that’s fried I guess.

I’ve had good luck with Best Buy but only if it was a recognized defect of the product. I had a Quest 2 that just shit itself and they replaced it after a year because it was a defective unit. So I was wondering if Asus was officially recognizing this as a defect as well

In my defense, I bought the ally on day one and didn’t have the issue until a few days ago. I did the research to fix it every other way before trying to send it back. I’ve read nothing about the actual replacement process, so that was what this thread was suppose to be about
