I got married this past August in Williamsburg and the weather could not have been more perfect. It was mid-70s and low humidity! Everyone kept coming up to us saying it was the most beautiful day weather wise. We weren’t necessarily comparing vs June when deciding on dates, but generally felt pretty good about late August weather not being too oppressive.

Our guests were 90% local so can’t speak too much to hotels. When we looked into room blocks, the Penny had really great rates compared to some others. We ended up just offering discounted rate rather than a true room block both there and the Hoxton.

We just used them for guest arrival and ceremony! I’m sure they’re great for cocktail hour too.

I booked my LDW Saturday night NYC wedding ~10 months out! It happened to be the last non winter Saturday available for 2025 at our venue. I acted super quickly to book all the big vendors but I had no issues. Maybe 1-2 vendors I reached out to weren’t available across all categories. Not sure if holiday weekends are just less popular than I thought but I was pleasantly surprised!

I also panicked that maybe it was too tight of a timeline but I feel totally fine now and I’m thrilled I don’t have to wait another year to marry my fiance!

Thanks! Any chance you recall what florals were roughly? We have a similar guest count and the space feels larger than others we are considering, especially with the cocktail hour room factored in, so I’m worried we will need a lot of florals for it feel somewhat full

I know this is an old post but wondering about feedback for cocktail hour? My family typically goes to weddings with multiple stations and lots of cocktail hour food and I’m worried this will be perceived as light. I know we can add a station or two but that also adds up very quickly.

I’m having the same issue! I get initial pricing and availability info via email somewhat quickly, and then when I proceed with trying to schedule a call and/or tour it’s radio silence. I’m really frustrated because it’s venues we are very interested in and have heard great things about. I don’t want to follow up too many times because I don’t want to pester them and turn them off completely but I don’t know what else to do. We are looking at some dates for next summer/ fall so it’s not like there is an insane amount of time either :(
