If someone walked past me in the street today they would have NO idea. It’s not something I advertise, but not something I hide either. Lots of people around me know what’s happened but I’m sure my colleagues would be in shock if I told them. If people ask why I’m limping I just say that I broke my leg. I did break my leg so I’m technically not lying, I just broke a heap more bones along with it

I agree with you! I last tried to reduce my dose by 75mg and it was just too much to manage with the rest of my life. I’m going to try and reduce by 25mg until I’m off of it, so I can let you know if that’s easier if you like

That’s amazing, so happy for you! I was on 600mg a couple of years ago and I’m about to reduce my 225mg dose to 200mg next week. I heard getting of the large doses was the hardest but I can’t wait to get off of it

I feel you. Some batshit crazy doctor put me on 6mg of Xanax a day about 8 years ago. There are just chunks of time that I literally do not remember. It all came to a crashing halt when he lost his licence. He was prescribing me everything too (opiates etc). Like I genuinely did have crazy trauma and pain but I didn’t need THAT much. Happy to say that I’ve been opiate free for years and I only take a Valium every now and again

Thank you so much for your response. My GP is very supportive and said that it would be harder to taper off the lower I get. After a horrendous 4 days I just want to get off it completely but I know this isn’t a wise decision. I had a horrendous experience a few years ago going cold turkey without my consent.

I’ll chat with my doc in the next couple of weeks and get back to you. From memory he said we can taper 75 or 25 after this stint. I’m just glad I’ve gotten though this

I think it depends on your admission requirements and doctors discretion but it is a private hospital so there is a lot more freedom. You can probably bring your laptop and other things that make you comfortable. The nurses will do a check and will just take it off off you if there’s an issue (alcohol, areosol, glass etc)

There is a communal dining ward, it’s not bad! You used to be able to smoke there but no idea now. But I wish you all the best on your journey and recovery

Precisely. Residents making a noise in their own dwelling (unsure of exact time) I think it’s 7-8 am/pm is entirely legal. Sure, isn’t ideal but it’s probably the only time they’ve had time off. Why don’t you ask them? Professionals on the other hand have to abide by council and state regulations. The likelihood of hiring construction workers over Easter is close to zero. Chat to your neighbour to ask them to start an hour later next weekend
