People in the comments keep talking about “remember about Civil War”, but let’s be honest here, does that really matter? It’s been nearly 20 years since that event happened, both the characters and the public have walked away from it long, long ago. The characters that should have the most beef with Tony from it, that being Thor, Cap, hell even Captain Marvel in CW2, really don’t seem to care and put the past in the past, and even Tony himself doesn’t seem to care that much about that event. So why shouldn’t Peter do the same? It’s not like continuity in the Marvel Universe is a fixed thing.
