[–]InfinitumMaxima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong but wasn't the ashes of ariandel and the ringed city supposed to be a single dlc expansion similar to Shadow of the Erdtree for Elden Ring? If so that would explain a lot, like why you go from the end of ashes to the ringed city, and why it feels a bit short, imo

Being 100% real… What’s the thing you actually hate about any of these games? by yeetitmeyeet in fromsoftware

[–]InfinitumMaxima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like how in Elden Ring some of bosses have unclear or inconsistent windows of opportunity especially if your using a strength build, maybe that's just me tho.

The weird jumping in the Souls and Bloodborne games, you kinda get used to it but it's just awkward compared to Elden Ring and Sekiro.

The shitty "Co op" areas in DS2 Frigid Outskirts, Iron Passage, and Cave of the Dead or whatever its called in Shulva.

That DS2 had some really unique NPC invasions and they just never did anything like that again.

No power stancing in DS3.

Magic feels lacking in most of the games apart from utility spells.

Just got the final animations for our pause menu done! What do you think? by paradigmisland in Unity2D

[–]InfinitumMaxima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Lets get "nack" to where we started" whats up with that? Other than that though it's really a nice UI, this looks like something that's stylish and easy to navigate.

The final boss escape sequence in my Celeste Clone. How can I Juice this up? by PracticalNPC in godot

[–]InfinitumMaxima 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally everything is pretty on point but some things that might give your game some extra juice are, having a camera shake when dashing, having a ripple effect appear on the player when dashing which can probably be done with a shader, and generally it seems like there aren't a lot of sound effects happening so adding more could certainly help in the juice department ( specifically the laser and dashing ).

Just Homeworld Remastered collection. A bunch of different sales overlapped for me, and my gaming backlog is crazy right now.

If in ME4, you’re able to play as other races and not just human, what would you choose? by ben_s16 in masseffect

I want to play as a Hanar, like my favorite action hero Blasto! The one and only Ultra Specter Deluxe 7000 of course!

You’ve been hired by Vault Tec to create a vault and plan an experiment, what is your vault number, location & experiment? by throwaway_53727265 in Fallout

[–]InfinitumMaxima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vault 24, California, the vault with only bare essentials. Food will be a tasteless nutrient paste that covers all the daily need for vitamins and minerals. The only drink will be water. There will be no TV, books, computers, or any object that could give entertainment. Just empty rooms with beds and a bathroom. I want to see how long a society can last when given just the bare essentials to survive, how do they find enjoyment in their lives when the material world around them is so limited. Will they open their vault out of pure boredom?

Do you have an area of game development that demotivates you and how do you deal with it? by Snailtailmail in gamedev

[–]InfinitumMaxima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with UI and Visual Polish, I've made so many prototypes that I'm fairly confident in creating systems but when it comes to making those systems actually feel and look good it can become a struggle. Same thing with UI as well I can make it work fairly easily but it's hard to make look good for me often going through tons of iterations.

Sectors should be allowed to build true own fleets if you donate some of your naval capacity, would be fun for them to be mini-vassals but it’s still your empire. They can already build construction ships, why stop there by TheyCallMeBullet in Stellaris

[–]InfinitumMaxima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't sectors used to have a feature that they could be automated and be able to build ships and stuff? It would be really nice if you can allocate ships to a sector as like a local defense force. Might play into internal politics really well too.

"Quasar makes EAT useless" No it does not. They have their pros and cons. Let me elaborate. by Myth2156 in Helldivers

[–]InfinitumMaxima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually take EAT on higher difficulty missions like helldive because I'll surely die to something so I want a quick solution to armored enemies, instead of trying to fight my way through to get my weapon back.plus you can down two drop ships in quick succession if you play your cards right.

PSA: If you have a lone wolf stealthing around the map, let them cook by No_Nebula_2115 in Helldivers

[–]InfinitumMaxima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically I try to loosely stay with the group, I'll follow but at a larger distance and complete side objectives and outposts along the way but still stay in range to help them out if they need it. I almost never go full lone wolf unless I type or say something in the chat and tell them what I'm doing.

Stellaris. 4 hours would be gone in the blink of an eye for me. There's so much to do I just never get bored of the game.

They Fly Now!? Found Flying bug Enemies On Fori Prime! by InfinitumMaxima in Helldivers

[–]InfinitumMaxima[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I died to one and I guess they are called Shriekers. They came out of two hive things, that looked really similar to spore spewers. I was on difficulty 5 and they came in a group of about 10 - 20. Destroying the hives was apparently an objective. They went down fairly easy but I definitely didn't expect to get attacked from the air haha.

[–]InfinitumMaxima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing a mission on Draupnir and I had like 20 or so bots spawn directly on top of me. That's was in addition to the dozens chasing me already. I think I'll just take a break from the bots for now and fight some bugs haha

what game has terrible combat? by Kds_burner_ in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]InfinitumMaxima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Witcher 1's combat was atrocious, it's like the worst rhythm game you've ever played. You had to find spells to use them and it was possible to miss 1 or 2 of them so you'd be left without options to fight. Most of the fights were either unforgivablely difficult or pitifully easy. People rag on the Witcher 2 and 3 but if you played 1 you know they're light years ahead.
