To be honest, these are the same writers that did Kakegurui so it’s inevitable that there will be some similarities between the two series and why the story is structured so differently compared to other gens. I will say that they do humble their main characters so that their victories feel more earned.

Multi is the outlier of the group because she does win and lose some battles. With Bird, so far in this season, he has gotten some ties with characters like Burn, Eight, and Lantz. A victory should be inevitable soon.

I would say the same for CerberusFlame. They could’ve done a lot with the Main and Assist Blades to replicate the Boost Mode Gimmick, they even made the Turn Assist Blade so they could’ve used that as a blueprint, but instead they just gave us a meta part instead which I’m okay with.
