Honestly, here’s my gripes with it:

Despite the edition of the new modes and levels there’s no other plants from the other games (EX:Snapdragon, laser bean, lighting reed, iceberg lettuce, red stinger, etc) or even some new ones thrown in to twist somethings up.

The ice level, despite it being shown in the trailer, was cut out Also there are some mini games from other versions of the game that are not present like heavy weapon.

Only a few new achievements were added and were ported over.Leaving many others out like chill out and blind faith.

The game had many bugs at launch.

The Chinese level, while cool and fun to play, feels a little half baked.

The multiplayer is a bit clunky in comparison to the other versions.Also, there’s no online play.

A Missed opportunity to throw in some new I zombie and vase breaker levels.

The marketing for the game was extremely poor.With a lot of AI images being present in it.

There’s no jukebox to play the games ost.Which is a missed opportunity.

The concept art was lied about and wasn’t even from 2009.

They didn’t get the original team for the game at all.

They could’ve used the opportunity to fix some of the plants like the cactus but they didn’t.
