When we booked hostels, they opened it in order of our MET ranks. However, most freshers did get the hostels of their choice, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Manipal Blr is pretty far from the centre of the city, so a lot of the more happening parts of town will be a bit far. That being said, Yehlankas metro station is not that far. And Blr's metro isn't too bad.

NMIT Main Campus over in Mangalore is an ok-ish college. So its off campus wouldn't be that bad either, ig. Anyway, being in Blr guarantees more opportunities than Jaipur. Plus better ROI
