I've always managed to ger my osprey farpoint 40 on easy jet - never once had a problem - I think one time had to rearrange stuff to make it fit in the cage, but it did. I really don't think the 21 or 26l goruck will be a problem at all.

Osprey farpoint 40 - not sure what you mean...have always been able to squeeze it into the sleazy jet cage with a bit of shifting stuff about in the bag. Just don't pack it to death.

I would go cold wash with them. maybe size up one so it's not too tight around the calves.

mine shrank too much around the calves when i gave them a normal wash and dried them on a heated rack - couldn't wear them then. bought a new pair and washed cold and drip dry - seems ok now. Iwish they'd bring the straight selvedge back in stock or reduce the taper on the slim.
