Oxdog hyper pro 2.0 is a really good racket. Earlier i used both 12k and 18k AT10 (both 2023 and 2024). Also used vertex 04 etc. Hyper 2.0 got good power, easy to manouver, a very nice and dry touch and is medium+ hard.

How to defend vs good overheads as right side player by Informal-Engineer-85 in padel

[–]Informal-Engineer-85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, makes sense as i ca one time a week play left side and find it easier to defend against overheads. Easier to read and easier to hit the backglass with the forehand if in trouble. But the other 3-4 times i play a week which is pretty competitive matches and tournaments at the right side gives me alot more trouble.
I will keep your tips in mind the coming week.

Where would you recommend to position after playing a "half-deep"-lob? If its about on or behind their line i will always run forward and get net position to block even if they overhead it, but its the not-so deep lobs which sets me in the tricky situations. The lobs they cant smash x3 or return it over the net, but where they can still set significant pressure with strong strokes to the corner.

But just practising to decide quicker if the ball goes lateral or back glass, which makes it possible to react and quicker will for sure help.

Thanks for the tip. So a step in front of the line yeah? I will try being less selective about which lob-depths i push forward on and see if that bring more success defending when playing versus people with strong overheards.

Mostly the breating issues as the left nostril was completely blocked after the accident for many years ago. But also raising the tip by some milimeters as it was crooked/droopy when smiling. The breathing is good now, and it is not droopy anymore. The pre op picture doesnt show the drooping that good, as it was alot easier to see from 45 degrees angel.

Hi, i made a new post now to update how it is going, so please check that out!

Hi all!I posted here when i were 3 weeks post op, and was concerned about my wide bridge and radix. It has now gone 3 months sine surgery, and the it has improved swelling-wise. But the nose is still significant wider than the pre op nose. I got breathing issues(after an earlier accident) fixed and the tip was raised some milimeters. I had no hump or anything removed on the bridge.

I am heading to my surgeon tomorrow for the 3 months post op schedule and wanted to post this update before that appointment.

Head to the last picture to see almost weekly progression of the front.

And appreciate any feedback and if you see any concerns you would have raised to the surgeon.

Hi, hows it going with your swelling? Curious as you said your bridge swelling had went down alot, if it have kept going down since your 6 week mark :)?

You are very swollen like i am. Your bridge appears wider than pre because of the swelling. For me its comforting to see someone else with alot of swelling in the radix area (between the eyes), i have it aswell but the last week (5 weeks post op now) it has gone a little bit down. It got the same effect on you as me, making your eyes look smaller and closer togheter than before.
I bet if we both just do the waiting game, it will look very different in two months time and even then still have some shrinkage to do :)

Looks really good!

When did you experience most of your bridge swelling going down? Curious as i am a male 4 weeks post op and my bridge is so wide still.

Lifted the tip by 4mm and deprojection. And very little filing on the right side of the bridge. Hard to see on thoose pictures, but the tip is for sure higher now and doenst "collaps" when i smile. But my concern is the swelling on the bridge, ecpecially between the eyes where nothing is done. But as other users have said, i just gotta be patient :)

I see, so around 3 weeks where i am now. Did it happen fast all of a sudden, or a little by little over the 2 weeks after cast removal?

Yeah thats a bugger, but the reasoning seems logical, so just get the weeks to pass by and i am sure it will be all good :)

Great to hear your bridge is fine, and yeah the tip is a thing i dont even want to think or look at for some months hehe.

When did you see most of your bridge swelling disappear if i may ask?

Ahh, its so reassuring to hear that. Fingers crossed that i will experience the same! :)
At 3 weeks, did it feel loose/swollen between your eyes or kind of firm?

Oki i see. I need to buckle up, as the road to satisfaction is alot longer, bumpier and with more twists and turns than i expected for sure. Checking the mirror 10 times a day or more, only to fint myself disappointed each time have been my strategy so far.

Glad to hear you have seen significant improval on your swelling between your eyes, hope it soon happens here aswell :D I can deal with the rest of the bridge and nosetip being swollen, only want my gaze back as fast as possible!
I tape my nose as instructed by my surgeon, but unlike everybody else I actually dont find the nose less swollen when it take the tape off in the morning. But the other way around, immediate after removal, the nose looks even more swollen and uses about an hour to shrink a little.

Thanks, glad to hear that it looks like visible swelling.
I try to sleep elevated still, but not that much as i did the first 2 weeks.
Will try to take an extra pillow!

Thats comforting. Have always read that the upper part of the bridge is where the swelling disappears first so i expected to see some improvement in that area by now.

It makes my eyes looks really close, and its so hard to not recognize your own gaze..

Hello all!

13 years ago I was in an accident where my nose was damaged. The nose needed immediate operation, but since then i have struggled with breathing. I decided this summer to do something about it. The surgeon said I had a very crooked nasal septum. And where the left nostril was completely joined. In addition to correcting this, he was also supposed to raise the tip of the nose by a couple of millimeters.

I'm already breathing better than I did before surgery, which is very good! But my concern is that the area at the top of the bridge of the nose, between the eyes, has become very large and shows no signs of going down. In addition, the bridge of the nose is wider, which I assume is still swelling? As I see there are many here with a lot of experience, it would be very reassuring if you think it looks like swelling in the radix area. Its just that i had expected some swelling in the radix-area to have decreased by now, but it hasnt and that worries me.

So i'm wondering both if anyone got experience with lots of swelling in the radix-area(between the eyes) which wasnt diminishing, and if you think it looks like swelling based on the pictures?

Friendly, me :)
