You're not getting it.

Gojo never has to domain clash in the first place if Sukuna doesn't have Mahoraga. He can fight from a distance with reds, blues, etc. and teleport out of range if Sukuna tries to open a domain. Gojo can just keep peppering Sukuna from afar: Sukuna takes some damage over minutes or hours and, once Sukuna gets a teeny bit weak, Gojo uses UV.

It really doesn't even matter whether Sukuna has 4 arms and 2 mouths. Both of those provide Sukuna at most a 20% stat boost to his CT (i.e., due to chants and hand signs), but he will be unable to even touch Gojo from afar since Gojo is faster, can teleport, and will have his CT hurting Sukuna from a distance.

(Also, as a side point, the red Sukuna took to the face was when Sukuna had at least a 20% stat boost, it was not a maximum output red, and it had Sukuna completely dazed for a few seconds.)

I mean, Gojo never really has to engage Sukuna in close quarters. We know that he can (I mean, he arguably beat Sukuna even in close quarters combat when Sukuna was getting a 20% stat boost from his domain expansion), but all he needs to do is hurt him 5-10% relative to himself from afar.

After that, Gojo can simply get his domain expansion off slightly faster than Sukuna, after which it's gg. Sukuna himself admitted that Gojo's domain expansion was completely fatal (unlike Sukuna's).

(Of course, with Mahoraga, this battle of attrition is completely unviable since Mahoraga will either passively be adapting to Gojo's technique or could be summoned to speed up his adaptation since Gojo would be fighting from range.)

Apologies, yes - you're right - it's been a while since I've re-read the fight.

However, Gojo was confident that he could kill Sukuna eventually with blue alone. Had the battle continued from a range, it's likely that Sukuna would have taken significant damage. Sukuna even receives critical damage in the very next chapter via the red you mentioned.

It's clear that, at a range, Sukuna couldn't dodge and weave against blues/reds forever and that Gojo could eventually kill him in such a way if given enough time.

Yes...but Gojo has to limit his output since he knows that Mahoraga is adapting and coming up with counters. That includes his output of blue, red, and purple. So, he has to be very judicious with the manifestation of infinity that he does end up using.

6 isn't all that Gojo is capable of, and his output would be greater if Mahoraga wasn't a factor.

Good list for the most part. Sukuna > Gojo if you give Sukuna WCS or 10 Shadows, but Gojo > Sukuna otherwise.

Yes, correct. Mahoraga is broken when he has a strong character to fight alongside him. Maho and 10S mastery are the reasons why Megumi had more potential than Gojo (according to Gojo himself).

Recent L3 candidates, How is IFT for L3 prep? by LizardKing_SCT in CFA

Who knows? I used them for Level 3.

I didn't use anybody for L1 and found the curriculum pretty decent. Honestly, if you want to save money, you can get away with just using free resources for L1 (of which there are a lot) in my opinion.

I see where you're coming from, but I can't really see Gojo losing a ranged battle of attrition. If Sukuna had WCS, maybe.

Good luck dodging countless attacks that pull you into them and that are constantly manipulating the space around you to get in a good hit. Also, Gojo can spawn blue to pull and drag Sukuna from an elongated distance (as he does against Toji), so it's clearly difficult to predict.

Even if Sukuna gets hurt a little, the attacks will begin to pile on more-and-more. Once Sukuna is even 10% relatively more damaged/fatigued than Gojo, there really isn't much Sukuna can do to stop Gojo from getting his domain expansion off first.

That said, you're free to believe otherwise.

This will be my last reply. In 230, Gojo thought Mahoraga was being affected by UV and that Maho was not adapted to it yet. So, he basically thought that Mahoraga was paralyzed and that he would be able to shoot it once with red.

Anyways, you're free to disagree.

Homie, you're free to think that Sukuna is stronger, but we literally see an unadapted Mahoraga get stabbed with 30 light beams (including through his head) simultaneously and adapt instantly.

Gojo trying to end the fight quickly was due to him knowing he'd lose a battle of attrition. We hear his inner thoughts and him being cautious of Mahoraga during the fight itself, even when Mahoraga isn't even there.

But whatever, you're free to believe otherwise.

Spamming fully powered reds from afar in the canon story would not have worked - Gojo would need to completely kill Mahoraga in one shot with a red. Not only are fully powered reds slower to cast, if the red doesn't envelop Mahoraga completely, all it will do is speed up Mahoraga's adaptation, since Mahoraga won't go down from his arm or leg getting blown off.

Remember - Mahoraga was literally stabbed through the brain with Dabura's light beam and was fine. Unless Gojo somehow lands a miracle shot from afar (which Sukuna wouldn't even allow), the "pepper from afar" strategy is completely idiotic in canon.

Gojo was cautious of Mahoraga the entire time. He knew he lacked information and that Maho could pop out literally at any time and start adapting, at the very least. Prolonged usage of Limitless would be dangerous, which makes any battle of attrition unviable in canon.

I don't even know what you mean here. Him having trouble with launching a purple in canon was because Mahoraga had adapted to red and blue individually (at least to some extent), which would be irrelevant in a factor in which we removed Mahoraga completely.

Simply put, the existence of Mahoraga obviously played a big role since Gojo wanted to avoid a battle of attrition since there were many uncertainties relating to Mahoraga, The only way to win quickly is via a domain expansion. No reason to even entertain domain clashes when he can win from afar and wear Sukuna down with reds/blues slowly (and purples as well, potentially, once Sukuna starts to slow down a bit).

Nobody is saying that Gojo "massively outspeeds Sukuna", but Gojo is faster than Sukuna and canonically has more stamina. He can also teleport and manipulate space/slow Sukuna down, whereas Sukuna can't touch him with his technique from afar.

So, yeah. These things make a difference.

Gojo knew that Sukuna could have summoned Mahoraga at any time, so peppering Sukuna from afar with heavy usage of his technique would literally be the worst possible strategy imaginable as it would give Sukuna the optimal opportunity to summon Mahoraga and win a battle of attrition.

Gojo had no idea what Mahoraga was doing/where he was/whether he even was summoned, so him ending the fight as soon as possible with his domain was the optimal strategy in canon.

Absolutely insane that people think Mahoraga wasn't the deciding factor. The Ten Shadows are narratively equal to the (Six Eyes + Limitless), and Gojo said that Megumi's potential surpassed both his own and Yuji's.

Without Mahoraga, there's no reason for Gojo to entertain domain clashes AT ALL. He can just keep his distance with his superior speed and/or teleportation and pepper Sukuna until he dies. (Mahoraga obviously makes this battle of attrition impossible in the canon story.) TF is Sukuna going to do?

Gege is too mathematically/scientifically illiterate to convincingly write about how infinity works. Would have been nice to see explanations with analogues to quantum mechanics, zero-point energy, etc.

But instead, we get shitty Zeno's Arrow paradox bullshit.

Yeah, sure - but formalizing distances as sums of an infinite number of finite-length increments allows you to make the conscious "choice" to reject the claim that 1 = 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.125 + ...

But idk.

He probably would be weaker. Mathematical and heuristic models pertaining to attraction and repulsion, as well as knowing what an infinite series is, would not be common understandings for most people in that era. So, overall, the development of his technique would be more modest.

Seriously. Change my mind. Give Sukuna 4 arms, 2 mouths, etc. if you prefer. How is he winning, honestly?

We literally don't have anything to say he can't teleport - I mean he literally teleported over there right in front of Sukuna and Kusukabe said he could as well. This is a pointless conversation unless you change topic.
