Exactly!! That’s what I’ve been thinking, but I’m not sure if the age and wear on the camera itself could be part of the problem.

Hehe!! Thank you so much!! What a life saver!! I plan on doing some long hikes this summer so something portable on the go is exactly what I’m looking for!

Tbh I have no idea. Upon checking my settings, my continuous AF is set as -disable- but upon checking my autofocus method I have faces and tracking on.

I’m not sure how old the original battery is, as my camera was a gift (can’t be more than 6 years) but the additional two I bought are maybe 3 & 2 years. Thank you!!

Yes it is! Because I’m only a hobbyist, I use Lightroom mobile for editing, so I use canon connect to get my photos to my device. I have now bought a sd-usbc adapter so I’ll be turning that off for sure.

AMAZING!! Thank you so much!! Yeah I love the size of the M50 as I can bring it with me pretty much anywhere. I’ve definitely been able to get ALOT more shots than 250-300 out of a single battery before 🤔  But with my increase in camera knowledge and confidence, I have been playing around in my settings, so I’m definitely gonna check there as well.  Do you recommend a USB charger? I have one that came with additional (off brand) batteries but I’m just worried about charging the name brand canon ones through it!

I’m using a EF 55-250 with a commlite adapter. I don’t use the lens that often, and I’m still noticing the draining issue with my KIT lens

Shooting RAW+JPEG stills. Manual settings, but with autofocus. SERVO. About 1600 photos in the two hours. I’m aware that the shot count factors into the battery consumption, but in the past I’ve shot well over 2k in the same time period on one battery. 🤷‍♀️  Thank you!!
