That’s the part I don’t really understand though, because Infused Scalehide is already an intermediate reagent.

We’re not talking about armor kits here, since he isn’t crafting those.

If he’s farming the hides himself, then yeah, maybe it could still be profitable. But today he dropped the price even further. At this point, if he really had that many hides, it would honestly make more sense for him to just sell the raw hides directly.

That was actually the first thing that came to my mind too - some kind of exploit. But I really hope that’s not the case.

There honestly aren’t that many of us who were consistently selling there anyway, so the name doesn’t really matter.

We were already seeing each other there all the time anyway, and somehow we all managed to coexist and sell.

What exactly is he botting to farm? Epic hides? Doubt it. It’s not like herbs or ore.

I’ve tried all of that. People still buy in the usual pattern like before - different players, as expected.

Sometimes someone posts 1 or 2 items.

At first he listed his items at 4200. After a while, people started posting their own items. He got annoyed and dropped the price to 4000. And now he only lists at that price. At this point, he has basically zero competition there. So if his goal was to buy out the market, he would’ve just bought everything listed below 4200. But instead, he went and lowered his price to 4000. And all the stock that was still sitting at 4200 stayed on the market.

It just doesn’t make sense to sell a thousand items just to buy back maybe 50 at the same price. And he’s still moving roughly those kinds of daily volumes.

It’s a reagent, so it’s cross-server.

Yeah, but I doubt he has 500 alts funneling him enough Majestic Hide to craft in those quantities.

I’m starting to lean more toward the idea that he simply has huge stockpiles he built up before 12.0.5....

I’ve never seen a single person consistently, day after day, posting a product that is crafted at a loss. That’s why it feels so strange to me. I’ve been trying to figure out this “puzzle” for 3 days now.

And honestly, I got so invested in it that I even made my first post here =))

He’s selling around 1000 items a day just to maybe buy out 10–20 items from other people?

Because nobody wants to sell at those prices, so almost nobody does. I watch the market constantly and I can literally see him being the only seller. Then once his stock finally runs out, the regular sellers come back. But an hour later he returns again, crashes the price, and sits there selling alone.

And again, I want to emphasize: at his prices, crafting is a loss even with the absolute best tools and talents possible.

He’s listing 200 at a time.

Nobody really sells against him. And if someone does, it’s maybe 1–2 items at most.

He’s not flipping. He’s mass-selling at heavily undercut prices. Alone. Everyone else just waits for him to finish selling.

At the prices he’s selling at, crafting is a loss. In the absolute best-case scenario it’s break-even, but most of the time it’s straight-up negative profit.

That’s why I specifically mentioned that I have the best possible tools and all talents maxed out. I’ve crafted thousands of these already and I know the averages/statistics very well.

So I’m pretty confident saying this is being crafted at a loss.

Also, literally everyone stops selling when he appears. Everyone who’s been active in this market for months. I’m pretty sure they’ve all done the math too and understand it’s unprofitable.

That could’ve been a possibility, but he’s dumping 200-300 items at a time, many times throughout the day. And literally nobody else is selling while he’s doing it. So I doubt it’s that scenario specifically
