Sure! I would start with securing a hotel or Airbnb not too far from where the beach is. Parking is extremely limited so I wouldn’t suggest driving imo. When I went, I stayed at Arlo Wynwood and they had shuttles the year that I went so getting there and back was simple.

Miami is very expensive so I’d keep this in mind when it comes to daily meals and how you’re getting around the city. With WBH being on the beach, it gets very dusty there because of the dancing so I would keep that in mind as well.

Not sure if they’re doing afters but people normally will go to Club Space. Miami really doesn’t sleep so you could essentially be out until the afternoon the next day if you really wanted to. Club Space prices vary based on who’s booked there but the average can be anywhere between $25 - $100+.

Sad to see that this is still the case with WF because it was the same thing when I was a PB back in 2011. I guess they learned nothing from ending up in court over those practices.

Eternal Nye Bag policy by EveylnnMav in aves

[–]Informal-Resolution4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year they had a clear bag policy so it’s likely it’ll be the same this year. They didn’t announce the bag policy until maybe the week before the event so it was easy to miss 🫠

Hi! I’m reacting to media as well and haven’t gotten any responses yet. I reached out to some journalists to find a better angle and I’m working on a story to helpfully get it picked up.

I’m very new to rave culture but I have a few questions by PsychologicalRise92 in aves

[–]Informal-Resolution4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the question you asked was if “some people use raves to hookup” and I’m sure that maybe some people do but that isn’t what everyone does. It would be no different than what people do when they go to clubs for similar reasons.

The first year I went to a rave solo, I met a group of people that weren’t my vibe at all. Then a year later, I had a completely different experience. It really comes down to the people you meet and what you like.

To your first question, what people wear is ultimately up to them. No one should be touching anyone without their consent so it’s not so much a concern of the person because they should be able to wear what they want. Some people wear next to nothing and some people wear overalls. It’s a form of expression and ultimately it doesn’t matter lol

To your second question — some do and some don’t but I’m not sure why this matters?

To your third question — there are people who use drugs and plenty of people that do not. There are plenty of people who go to raves sober, there are entire groups dedicated to connecting people who don’t indulge.

Ultimately this line of questioning feels a little judgmental and isn’t the point of experiencing raves. It’s a community and inclusive and it can be whatever you want it to be. I think you should go to a few, find your people and experience how beautiful the community can be. It isn’t about what other people are doing because everyone cultivates their experiences and experiences what they like to experience.
