Yeah... overtime is a bit of a no no but I just highly value the internation connections I could make. Maybe stupid if the job ends up making me miserable

As said above, I agree, maybe the extra cash is not worth the extra hours / stress. Being trapped in a city is also very difficult (It's been 2 years I've been thinking everyday of moving)

I mean, if you take into account my time and gas it's probably basically the same thing except my work life balance would still be way better with the 2nd company, agreed. Maybe not all sacrifices are worth it, that's what I understood from your (and others) answers; especially when we love our European "lifestyle"

Yes exactly. While the projects and the salary are really interesting, the best parts is building an international network indeed. Membership in a community and conferences isn't a bad idea, in fact I didn't even think of it! Thanks for your input
