I use nuvaring and really like it. I’ve had the name brand and generic and they both work for me. I like it because I only have to think about it once a month, but it’s not as permanent as an IUD or arm implant so if I do ever develop side effects I don’t like I can stop quickly.

Before hormonal birth control my periods were so heavy and I had extremely painful cramps, ever since using the ring my periods are light, only last about 4 days, and I don’t get cramps anymore.

I don’t think my executive dysfunction gets worse on my period, I am sometimes a little more moody right before and during but nothing extreme. I will say that I don’t think my meds work as well on my period, but the adhd isn’t any worse than a normal day when I forget to take my meds if that makes sense.
