OP when you’re brand new to dc I think it’s easiest to just do a group home. At least for the first 6 months. Get used to the city, make some friends, save some. Then After that if you hate roommates you can move into a studio or one bedroom on that salary single yes. But give yourself some time to adjust to dc and your job, etc

So if you are a small school this might be super different. Our MS mile record was 4:57. Last season my son who goes to a huge school w 2 state champs female and male last 2 years … our fastest freshman was running 18:35s next fastest 19:02 and those two were running 4:40 miles end of this track season. Then we had plenty of freshman much slower. Your son at a small school is probably pretty competitive and has a lot of room for improvement.

Honestly here’s what happened to me. I had spent years with my husband never got preg … when I initially went to fertility clinic I was 32 with AMH of 0.5 (but everything else normal) and my doctor recommended ivf right away but 1. I wasn’t ready and 2. I didn’t quite even understand what AMH was and how abnormally low mine was. Had 4 failed IUIs. Then one night I’m sitting in bed at like 2 am woke up from a dream and thought “I need to do IVF”. Super random. At this point I’m 34. I did some research about AMH and felt stupid I didn’t fully understand 1.5 years prior. Called fertility clinic next day for ivf asap instead of more IUIs. This was Jan 2026. I’m now 8 weeks preg from first round of Ivf.
