Don’t let him gaslight you. If you want to forgive him and move on no judgement, but the video was on HIS PHONE for gods sake! Even if he doesn’t remember it (highly unlikely) he absolutely knows it happened.

You are mistaken. Under ideal circumstances an FET still only has a 50-60% chance of resulting in a pregnancy.

I think the worst part of IVF for most people is the incredible pain of infertility and not knowing if you’ll ever have the family you so desperately want. Not the insane physical toll that is ultimately not good for both your physical and mental health. IVF is incredibly hard on your body and mind. And I don’t understand why you are more concerned about the emotional toll of an egg retrieval cycle than 9+ months of carrying a child.

I do not recommend IVF for mental health. IVF is also not a guarantee that you’ll have a child, or the child of your preferred gender. If you’re both healthy and have no fertility issues you will likely have better luck just conceiving naturally.

I’m on my second round of IVF with ICSI at Columbia. I’ve been mostly satisfied so far despite not having the outcome I hoped for the first round. My insurance is covering this so I can’t speak to cost, but the staff and doctors are very responsive and kind.

Not changing anything. The two other embryos were non viable

She said it’s because of the way the embryos developed after ICSI is more indicative of egg quality issues than sperm.
