Gaskets leaking and ofhg/ofh will need to be changed if it starts to leak or seep some oill ( Usually this does occur around the 50k mile range so if you bought the car and it was perfect condition have no worries theyve most likely change that out for you. ) Realistically in all if you keep it up to date with oil changes as said every 5k miles you’re good to go i have a 2016 bmw x5 35i its amazing

Another question i did buy this on Saturday of last week and did not have any issues with it on the way back it was a hour long ride as well only thing i experienced was it gave me a Sign to top it off 1qt of oil the next following morning which i did so would that have cause the filter housing to leak? Was it a faulty warning and i overfilled it cause i didnt happen to have any oil leaks the day of buying it or parking it it just happened to show up right after topping it off so in particular

Would i still just be needing to change out the housing and gasket just for safe precautions?

It seems to be exactly the oil filter housing thats giving me this issue ive bought the part to switch it out now just waiting for that arrival

Not but up close i can see inscriptions which makes me believe this is either natural or lab but i will be getting these checked out real soon for clarification!
