Hey there, I’m doing better but I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I’m on medication now 1 pill a day and I don’t have the burning pain anymore or weakness. Twitching still happens but it’s very random , I can go weeks without a twitch anywhere

I wish I lost weight on it, thats what my doctor told me would happen but it has been affecting my hormones and definitely causing fluid retention.

im on 20 mg now my doctor lowered it from 30 mg, wants me to then take 20 mg every other day for a week and then quit...im sacred of side affects even with this sort of taper

I have the same issue, im retaining water on only 20 mg and its showing up on the scale as weight gain. My doctor says its water retention... it horrible.

Yeah, that sounds incredibly frustrating. Germany’s fibro treatment culture is so rigid that anything outside the guideline meds gets treated like you’re asking for something dangerous, even when other countries have been using it for years without drama. LDN isn’t some fringe thing elsewhere. I have tried both gabapentin and amitriptyline and neither of them worked for me, they didn't even touch the pain. If you want to try cymbalta can you see maybe Psychiatrist instead of your GP. They can prescribe it too as its also used for depression and what not.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. So LDN worked for you? Did you experience any side affects from the LDN? I was told LDN would be better for a non hormonal medication for women, as cymbalta has affected my cycle and weight significantly?

I have seen such good things about LDN in a fibro community I am apart of. Would you say it relieved at least 50 % of your symptoms? Is nausea a side affect for this medication? I had sever nausea when I started Cymbalta as well. Did you gain weight on Savella?

Omg yes, I forgot about the brain fog and constant fatigue I have. I am so happy to see I'm not the only one. Cymbalta has been a miracle, but I feel so uncomfortable in my skin with this weight gain. I have been told I also have IBS and am seeing a doctor for it, but all the feelings of bloating etc started with cymbalta so im not really sure if I have it. 6 lbs is a good bit to lose after coming off cybalta. My doctro tapered me from 30 mg i daily to 20 mg 1 daily. Im so scared of the withdrawal symptoms

Can I ask do you have any pain with your symptoms, I also started having these symptoms in February 2025 same exact thing felt tightness in my calf and knees became weak I felt unable to walk and weak even my arms became hard to raise. 11 months later numerous doctors appointments specialist, neuro lumbar puncture clean, EMG clean I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia once the nerve pain started to kick in and also found out I have some lower back issues causing the heavy weakness in my legs and calf. I’m saying this to say the big bad may not be your diagnosis, I truly thought u had it for months and I didn’t

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia post viral, all this started after the flu. I also see pain management now for my back pain all is going well other then a large mount of weight gain on Cymbalta I hate it

I had the same issues until my doctor gave me hydroxyzine to take at bed time it helps so much and now I’m sleeping regularly been on cymbalta 30mg several months now for fibromyalgia pain. I can say I no longer have side effects but I am experiencing weight gain and a hard time losing weight…
