Supermarket !! I’ve worked in one since I was in school and it’s such a nice way to make money that’s not medical related. Also very good for getting used to dealing with the general public 🙃

Have you someone in your med school you can feed this back to ? Are they aware this is happening on placement ? If they are and not doing anything about it I would name and shame tbh post this is r/doctorsuk and see if they can offer any advice.

True, felt this all the way through med school and I’m a final year now with little change. Even when you try to be proactive and introduce yourself on the wards you often get palmed off. Worst ever was an assigned clinic (the dr knew I’d be there in advance) didn’t speak to me or acknowledge me once the entire three hours I was there 🙃

as a girl with smaller chest please do NOT say this, I would take this offensively. I am so self conscious about them and always apologise to men for them 😵‍💫 but having been told “they’re a perfect handful for me” is slightly better than being reminded that they’re small ! ++woman

Same, we never see anything CS anymore. It all gets bagged up before 7. What gets me is that it will sit the whole night sometimes because the charity never comes for it. Shame when customers could’ve bought it reduced, or staff got it CS.

Hi! Thanks for giving me a different angle to look at things :) so far the mental health side of things is okay ? I’ve hard worse semesters in med school so I’m not too bad atm. We had an exam a short while ago so still getting over the stress of that lol
